A new social network - new opportunities!
Hey guys, just quickly wanted to talk about Bluesky. There is a new social network that is currently trending like crazy and reached 15 million users just two days ago. Now, you may think that too many social networks aren't a good idea to be and that you are cool with just one or two of them already, ... and generally I agree, the less distractions, the better it is. However, keep in mind that social networks can always be split up into three simple categories: - 9:16 content - 16:9 content - text That's it. If you got a piece of 9:16 content below 60 secs, you can share it as: - Instagram Reel - YouTube Shorts video - TikTok post If you got a piece of text, you can share that to: - Facebook - Twitter/X - Bluesky - Threads - LinkedIn You get the idea. So whenever you have a piece of content, make sure to share it as on many platforms as possible because every little post is a new opportunity leading to potential new gigs, collaborations or business relationships. Now, we got Bluesky and it is basically, let's say, a welcome alternative to the Twitter, that, sadly, isn't Twitter anymore. Why should it matter in general? A fresh social network is a perfect platform to build a huge follower base, because the algorithms are new, meaning your content will automatically reach more and new people. During my time studying at the LACM in Los Angeles, one of my teachers, Linda Taylor said the following: Whenever you send out CDs (yes, back then this was the application medium of choice), put as much information about yourself as possible: Your name, phone number, pager, email address, postal address, everything! Now, today, 25 years later, the same applies to social networks. Be on as many as possible. The developer, the company, the client, the customer you may miss on Facebook or Instagram, may be around and open to your content on LinkedIn or TikTok ... and now, Bluesky :) Feel free to share your Bluesky Accounts here 👇 Here is mine: alexpfeffer.bsky.social

Here is my bsky :) - https://bsky.app/profile/nikitamalko.bsky.social The atmosphere is so much better than on Twitter so far! Also much easier to connect with people After about a month of posting there daily, here are a couple things that may be helpful: 1. You can upload videos there, but it's not really optimized just yet, so it will reduce the audio quality by a lot. However, since bsky doesn't have an algorithm in the traditional sense, it doesn't punish you for posting links as much as the other platforms, so you can add Youtube videos. 2. You can add a label/badge to your profile that will show what industry you work in. For that you have to find labelling accounts and activate it by following that page and clicking on "show badge" (some of those pages are not automated, so for some you might need to reach out to the mod). You can get the game dev one here - https://bsky.app/profile/ozone.birb.house 3. Bsky is very interaction-based. Since there is no "algorithm", it depends on how you interact with other profiles whether or not people will see your content. 4. There are so-called "starter packs", which are essentially just thematic account lists. There are plenty for almost anything, like video game devs, audio-related people, filmmakers, etc. You can follow all people on the starter pack in one click. Reach out to the owners of the starter packs where you think you could fit in to get added and make it easier for the others to find you (here is one for vgm composers, for example - https://bsky.app/starter-pack/ivgorchestra.com/3l6qjm5ychi2q), and at the same time try to look for starter packs with people of your target group, you will find plenty of both indie and AAA people in there. Let me know if there are any other useful tips that I missed! :)

Oh wow that's amazing! Thank you for this!
1000?! Yes, we made it! Thank you all!
Hey guys, first of all, I have been on the road for the last couple of days so there was bit of radio silence from my end and I am sorry about that. However, I am back in the studio ready to rumble. 🚀 Now, THANK YOU!! 🥳🥳🥳 We made it to 1000 members! In fact we are already on the way to hit 1100 :) This all wouldn't have been possible without you guys, so thank you so much! I am still thinking about the best way on how to celebrate this, so if you have any ideas let me know 👇 Now, what's the plan for the next weeks? I am currently in the concept of, finally, releasing a new course that will dedicated to everything regarding creating mockups. Basic stuff such as dynamics, CC commands, music theory, most instrument categories (orchestral, choirs, rock, drums, hybrid stuff, synths, basic audio recording), DAW settings and tips, how to finish tracks, my personal approach, how to work efficient, etc. I am aiming towards building my biggest course module so far to get you generally going with everything around creating solid mockups and tracks. ... and yes, if you are an Audio Artist Rise Member, you will get access to it for free! For everyone else interested in this course only, I would again introduce the course with an early access offer. Meaning, the course will be built throughout the next weeks, but in return you get in for just a fraction of the price and be locked in, no matter the final price. So, thanks so much again for all your support and let me know what you think?

LAMP Sale
Hello, Currently LA Modern Perc is on sale for $75. Does anyone use it and can share some feedback on how it sounds? Is it worth picking up? Also how does it gel with other libraries. Currently I own Damage 1, Ferrum, Devastator: Breakout and use Musio/Cine Drums of War and Perc

One of my most used perc libraries tbh. In my opinion, it's an absolute steal for $75. But I do agree with Alex, sometimes it needs quite a bit of processing to sound bigger
