Here's a question...
Hi all. First let me begin by saying welcome! Welcome to all the new members 🤝 Thank you for joining! I hope this community can be what you need/want it to be. This is a new community so things might start slow but together I think we can make this something amazing! Please feel free to post in the community if you have any niggling questions, want some support or just want to say hi 👋 Remember, this community is focussed on learning but also support. I won't have all the answers, but I bet you have answers for fellow members based on your personal experiences and your own knowledge and research. I am currently working on a community guide in the Classroom section so watch this space - I'll let you know when it is published. But for now, to kick things off, I have a question for you... *What is something you used to do, used to be, used to think, feel etc. pre kids that you are glad you no longer do? Or what is something you now do, since having kids, that brings you joy?* Comment below... (fyi commenting on posts and contributing to the community gets you points, points mean prizes... all will be revealed...)

I spend a lot more time outdoors now. Weekends were spent DIY'ing (I do miss it some times !) and wasting it away not doing anything or doing too much (deep cleaning every 3 months, yep!) . But now, we fully maximise the NT membership and lovely farms and parks around us and nearby. And it's brilliant. The house is usually an untidy mess, and this is improving as he's getting older , but that's not a priority as it once was. And in general, getting priorities right. Having a child clarified a lot for me. As ambitious and driven as I am , it's clear to me that I don't want to be a top honcho in some corporate long term. And I suppose deep down I knew that but maybe we kid ourselves or are influenced to believe otherwise, particularly as women as I feel we have to work that bit extra to prove ourselves, evidence our ambition to succeed. My most important priorities are a safe and loving home for G, a healthy and nutritious diet (as much as possible!) for him and embedding of good habits so he can grow up to contribute positively to society and his future home, set him up for success.
