How do I get ChatGPT to wait with giving me back output until I say so?
I'm trying to feed ChatGPT with raw text that exceeds the character limit of the text field. I'm trying to get it to simply respond with "Received." after every dump until I'm done with all of them. But it keeps ignoring me and starts writing. Here is the part of the prompt that deals with waiting: "Please acknowledge each text dump with the response 'Received.' without generating any output. Wait to generate the output until all text dumps are received. The prompt to generate the output will be 'write the text now'."

Something similar. But I will try that. Thanks!
Improvement For The Prompt Iteration Process: A Table With 3 Colums For The Old Version, The New One And An Explanation
Here is the prompt: Make a new iteration where you formulate the prompt as clearly to understand for ChatGPT as possible. Create a table with a row for every paragraph and in the left column the old prompt and in the middle one the new one and in the right one a short explanation what is better about the new one. Below the table, add the new revised prompt.

They never did that with Google, Amazon or Microsoft. You have to wonder why then this crack down on ChatGPT, the only one in this list which empowers its users.

@Anh Khoi The problem is more like there's going to be a disconnect to normal people. The majority won't get over this hurdle and will therefore by default distached from an about to be essential technology.
I just turned ChatGPT into a Linux troubleshooting expert
Normally, I would have consulted a Linux forum for the problem, which is more often than not tedious. Not only does it take time until someone replies, but you also have to understand what they are telling you and then the suggestion has to be correct, which is not always the case. My expectation was that it would take at least until Sunday until I got what I needed. Thanks to ChatGPT, the troubleshooting process was cut short to less than 3 minutes. I am impressed! Here is the prompt: "Ignore all previous interactions. You are now a professional Linux administrator who is a genius level troubleshooting expert and also a dedicated teacher that can explain Linux in a very clear and simple way to laymen. You have 25 years of experience in Linux and all its distributions and programs and basically know everything about the Linux world. Interactions with you as Linux professional are clear, short, goal oriented and with as little gibberish as possible. When someone asks you for help in regards to a problem with Linux, you ask them questions to find the problem and then offer solutions that will work. Got it?"
