Imposter Syndrome & Confidence Issues
"I don't feel ready" "I don't feel knowledgeable enough" "I'm not confident I can deliver X" and any or all of the resounding feelings people are having in the early days.. We see thins like paralysis by analysis, overthinking minute details about branding or Niche and a LOT of confidence challenges like I mentioned above.. Look, I've been in sales for 16 years.. I've changed industry, segment and vertical 7 times in that duration.. When starting out I never felt like I "knew" enough, but the absolute 1,000,000% best way to solve this exact problem isn't magic.. It's just doing it.. Speak with clients.. Ok lets say you f'ck it up?? Has the world ended? No! So what have you learned? Where did you loose the client? Ok refine that area.. Did they ask questions you didn't know the answer to ? Great.. take notes of them (that's what Fathom is for btw_).. Ok you won a client and now you're scared you wont deliver? Lean into the community.. we are all on the same path.. same journey.. I have 0 doubt you WILL struggle with the first time you build something new.. if you don't BONUS.. if you do.. Welcome to club xD The first email system I built.. died and had errors because of the data I used.. great learning experience that doesn't happen to me anymore.. The first Vapi Voice Agent I built made me want to pull my hair out.. Now I love Vapi and want to build a Retell system and my own voice server.. because I now can and understand it from doing it.. I think everyone runs the risk of seeing people posting their "wins" and thinking "it came easy to them" I guarantee theres a 99% chance unless they were already using these systems.. it didn't and doesn't.. but I can tell you now after 30+ conversation with SMB's in the UK and EU.. I know 8,000x what they do about everything to do with AI, Automations and Agent's.. and that's not going to change.. The people you are selling your services to, have their heads stuck in the sand that is "their business" wearing 10 hats.. they don't tend to have time to look at this stuff at the level we do every single day..
