The 3 Most Common Mistakes Upworker's Make
Here are the 3 most common mistakes I see Freelancers and Agencies make on Upwork, so you can avoid them. #1.) Not submitting enough proposals. Volume > everything. If you do the volume, you have data. Accurate data allows you to run real tests. If you keep testing, you’re guaranteed to succeed. #2.) Not personalizing proposals. I’ve spent over $40,000 hiring employees on Upwork. When I post a job, 90% of the proposals I receive have little to no personalization. It’s an immediate turnoff. Spend 5 minutes, personalize your proposal, and your response rate will triple. #3.) Not optimizing the profile. Your Upwork profile is meant to build trust with prospects. We do that by: - Filming video intros - Providing case studies - Providing an abundance of information That's all I've got for today's post. Speak soon, Nico

Yep, I'm sure that close to 95% people on Upwork use one boring as fuck proposal done with chatLGBT, that's the problem when I'm looking for a freelancer.
Question!
Hey Everyone, I have a simple question. I have been working in Business Development for about 3+ years and now I want to start freelancing on Upwork but the problem is that I don't have much proof to show for my experience. I just have proof of list of leads that I extracted from LinkedIn to google sheets. Would that be enough to showcase on my portfolio on Upwork? Thanks.

ya that will be fucking difficult but try to create a case - the best a video presentation
How Do Clients View Your Proposals?
When you submit a proposal on Upwork, the client doesn't get to see the entire proposal at first... They just get a preview of your proposal along with your profile picture, a few stats and some skill tags. Seeing how clients view my Upwork proposals is the biggest breakthrough I’ve ever had. It led me to generate over $100K on Upwork… So if you want the same info, check out my latest YouTube video. https://youtu.be/6gh8Q5TbgxI?si=Sz6qe07WPqBEvvDj

How Do Clients View Your Proposals?

Yes, great post also you can clearly see that 99% of people using ChatLBGT to write proposals and most of them are boring as fuck. Additionally I can see that almost nobody is using video and from my experience mix loom + custom proposal is the best. I will be experimenting with boosted posts. Never been using it before.
Client acquisition GOLD : case studies.
Do you guys use case studies? If so, curious to know how you make them / present them? They're crucial in all types of outreach and client acquisition methods and for community building (cold email, ads, literally all) I found that getting clients was 10x easier with them, so you really need to prepare some ASAP Here’s what I’ve seen people do to do that quickly and reliably! (and what I did too): - Use Typeform to collect project details and client testimonials in one go. - Automate it to fill a Google Docs template, creating a branded case study instantly. Let me know if this helps—happy to go into detail if you need it!

Hmm, that is very interesting. Can you share more details? Are you sending a link to forms when the job is done and asking for feedback, and based on this, you are creating a case study? Most of my clients can't be bothered with feedback, which is very frustrating for me. I tried almost everything
open contracts Question
Hey guys, I have a quick question about open contracts. Currently, I have something like 12 open contracts, and I'm unsure if that somehow affects my search and visibility on the platform when I'm applying for offers. I have tricky subjects and have only been re-hired two or maybe 3 times, so I wonder why I keep those contracts open.
