I’m turning courses into royalty-slinging Guidebooks with A.I.
With the holidays and feeling under the weather lately, I haven’t posted much. But in between naps and getting up to blow my nose, thought I’d share a little epiphany if you will. I produced a book for a partner this year based around his podcast episodes. We launched on Amazon in January. We split the royalties 50/50. My outta-pocket monetary expense to produce the book was probably only a couple hundred dollars. (Woulda been more but I sold a bonus chapter and a couple advertisement spaces on the bonuses page to cover costs) Since then we average a couple hundred dollars in royalties every month… sometimes more, sometimes less. Looking at $220 for December. I get $110 of that. And there’s not much button pushing I have to do for it anymore. It’s evergreen money coming in, for a deal I set up and work I did once. I don’t see it slowing down anytime soon. Now a hundo might not be much to some. But I’ll take a hundred bucks a month recurring for work I did one time, and not have to push buttons to make it come in. Anyway, I just thought it was cool. Here I am, feeling like poo, neglecting a few things until I feel better, and still getting paid royalties. lol Now this is an AI group so let me tie into that. The only AI used for this book was for video transcriptions. But, turns out my partner approached me about producing a series of “Guidebooks” based on his video course modules and trainings. We started guidebook #1 around the first challenge people run up to that his course solves. (I think we can pull out 5 guidebooks total over time) Where the original book was more strategy, these guidebooks are the tactical how-to’s. How-to guides are pretty popular on Amazon. Plus the nature of the “how-to” makes it super easy to write with AI using a combo of Claude dot ai and ChatGPT. It took me longer than this, but I’m convinced with a little extra focus without interruption, I could have produced the full guidebook in 3-5 hours tops. I’ve got the first one DONE, just being reviewed by my partner.

Awesome Adam, well done. Please share.
A.I. = Real Fast Recurring Royalty Payment$
I've got a library of video content going back to 2014. One of the things I'm excitedly focused on is using AI to repurpose the content into books, courses, membership programs and so much MORE! I am blown away by what Claude AI, Perplexity, and POE AI can create that I can monetize with the licensing model. 👍There are endless licensing money machines to build using A.I. 👀I believe MARRYING AI and Licensing gives birth to the most stress-free income babies ever born! If you don't have content of your own? There are heaps of coaches, consultants, content creators, experts, and business owners with a fortune in IP just "sitting under their mattresses." ...without the know-how or time to monetize it. How interested would you be in me talking more about AI and royalty payments? 🖕1= I'd rather spend a weekend at my mother-in-law's than use AI to earn royalties. 👍10= I'd spend a weekend with my mother-in-law to learn more! (or somewhere in between? LOL) Sound off 👇 Thanks in advance! Rooting For Ya, Travis

My first deal as a “licensing agent”
Two things I learned from Travis about structuring licensing deals… 1. you can come about it from a thousand and one ways, and 2. you can make up your own rules as long as everyone agrees This is a little breakdown of what I did as a licensing agent, or “connector hat” as I sometimes call ‘em, to put my first deal together. BTW this is by no means a perfect example. Far from it. But thought I’d share to show how one country bumpkin from Arkansas was able to still make it happen using what Travis teaches in this group. I took on the licensing agent role because I like being a connector. Don’t really have my own proven IP. And really enjoy uncovering NEERs for distribution opportunities. 🔑 So here’s the key points... Originally I reached out to a guy on twitter to see if had the value bombs he was doling out freely over there packaged up into a course. If he did I wanted to license it out. He didn’t. But I remembered Travis’ sheik and luxury car dealership story and what he said to do if you’re just starting out - ** Get control of distribution first. Then it’s easier to source a product fit. ** The aforementioned value 💣's the guy shares is about driving traffic to his ecomm stores. He’s shared numbers before so I knew it was a safe bet he gets a good amount of traffic and customers. So I asked him if he ever wanted a digital product to offer his customers I could probably source something through my network (network being all you peeps in this group). He replied back a yes to that with the name of one his store brands that he could use a digital product for (see the msg pic1 attached). This brand sells handheld hidden camera detectors. We hopped on a call to explore what digital IP would make a good fit. One of the ideas that came out of that call was a security guide for travelers pdf. Preferably by a security authority figure. Funny enough although I made a post here in the group to source a product and received some great ideas, I actually stumbled on an IP partner through happenstance.

Repurpose & Rent My IP? You can send $$ after you make sales 🙌
@Travis Sago made a post today about this topic and it's timely to what I have going on. I'm a Royalty Ronin member and have been doing the deals Travis talks about. Just launched one this week with another Ronin member @Aaron Krall We did EXACTLY what Travis says in today's post. Aaron has an audience of SaaS founders. I have a product that helps SaaS founders fix a BIG PROBLEM they have. Aaron is 'renting' my product for $995 every sale he makes. He charges $2,000, sends me $995. Together we repurposed the messaging and made some custom variations of my offer + Aaron added his own bonuses. We mixed our mojo together to come up with how we're selling this to his audience. And we dialed it in together pretty quickly by testing, getting feedback from the market and then analyzing the data. We also are using Travis' T3 campaign to promote to Aaron's audience. All the tools and opportunities you need are in this community. Are you looking for some IP you can repurpose and rent that's proven in the marketplace? If so, my Academy of Advertising might be a good fit for you. Here's the audiences that my program solves big problems for: 1) Agency Owners 2) SaaS Owners 3) E-commerce Store Owners 4) Info Product Businesses 5) Local Services 6) Coaching/Consulting Businesses 7) Business Opportunity If you got something in one of these categories and want to do a little coffee date, then slide into my DM's.

Owning a rental house with no renter is like owning a course (or other intellectual property) without a licensee. The AGE of the house/IP doesn't matter as much as the UTILITY... Is it still useful? If it is... And it's sitting empty... You're losing "rent" you could be making every month. I love that my rental IP doesn't have toilets, tenants or termites. Just recently... I took a framework (IP) I'd been teaching for years and repurposed it into a book. 👉Make Em Beg to Buy from You The framework is still useful...it will ALWAYS be useful - AKA Evergreen I am earning rent/royalties every day now... I will for YEARS...maybe decades...probably for life. Now... 🏆BONUS TIME if you've read this far... Get this... I covered ALL of my expenses repurposing the framework into a book: the cover art, editing, the WHOLE ENCHILADA...and I had money left over! How? 👉by selling/renting a bonus chapter for $5,000 before the book was even written. It sold in hours because it's such a great deal to get a lifetime spot in the book. I could've "sold" 2 or 3 more chapters too. Info and info publishing is the most leveraged game in existence, IMO. But... IP collecting digital dust earns zip. I wouldn't be surprised if a few folks here don't have a million dollars or more in rental income they will never enjoy because they THINK they've maxed out sales on their IP. ...when a little repurposing and putting it out in the right marketplaces for rent would bring in the most passive income I've ever found. Questions? Rooting For Ya, Travis PS If you don't have your own content to rent - according to Google there are 45 million content creators (see pic). Most of them NEED more "rental income" but don't know how to get it. In Royalty Ronin we act as brokers and earn 30% to 50% of the royalty income on average.
