Just took on a new client
so I just took on a new 1-on-1 client. I’m going to start building her through the classroom stuff we got here and see how things go. Would love to see this stuff and how to build it into sessions for her. What do you guys think I should do to mix all of this together into sessions for her? Was thinking of taking a little bit from each section and putting it together in a fun way. I’m interested in strictly using what we’ve got here with this for the beginning and then eventually breaking free from it. Figured it would be a fun way to change things up from what I normally do.

I've always started with the basics and went up from there and depending on their level to pick up new skills, I'll start showing them what I like to call elementary but advanced movements. If they learn quick, I show them how to fight ambidextrously, which is often then in Savate and what my karate instructors have shown me
Pivot Progressions
Hey everyone! Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts. All my fitness classes are on heavy bags (I do have a few classes that are less fitness based). I take them off to bring in the progressions we’re learning. For anyone that does fitness classes or a lot of heavy bag work with groups, how do you incorporate your pivot progressions? I’ve been testing out a few with jab- cross, but want to get more creative with these

What I have done is show them how to do it first then start working it with them mixed in with combos like a jab cross, quarter step, hook cross. I also like it to keep it simple in the beginning and go from there
12 Footwork Drills For Beginners
I am so sorry for the absence the past couple of weeks fam. Here is a quick summary of what your boy has been up to the past two weeks. My partner and I are expecting our first child, so been running back and forth haha We've also recently bought a new home, which we have finally settled into. I don't know about you guys, but I hate moving more than training legs haha My office is all set up now, and we are back on! To express how sorry I am for going "where's Wally" on you guys. Here is a video of the Fundamentals Class we ran with our members. We focused on drills that help their footwork and explained why and when to use them. We are big believers in teaching "Why" & "When"... It helps members understand the "How" much easier. Please note. These drills are in sequential order. So, if you are going to use them for your class or your clients, try keeping them in the order they were recorded. It's a progressional session—teaching skills in bite-size drills. At the end of the video, we tie it all together with a reactive drill. Enjoy!

Mittwork Coaching Without having your own gym?
Just curious on if anyone else has the same issues. Background: I love coaching and using the mitts with ammy fighters and normal everyday people that just want a boxing workout but as far as monetizing it for a side job I dont own my own gym and winter is coming here so it would be quite difficult to do outside here. Any tips/ideas? Appreciate it….

Since 2010, I would use commercial gyms. Grant it, typically this isn't allowed so I would befriend the staff and management and get to the point where they wouldn't mind and also they'd realize this is a specialized type of training that almost none of their personal training staff doesn't do. Other times I'd go to a clients house and train them in their garage or basement
Teaching the slips
So I started incorporating slips more into the classes to get them used to it. I’m using the tactics in the video to teach. What are some more suggestions that everyone here uses? Let’s say they’re complete beginners for simplicity. About half of them get it after a couple minutes of practice, but the other half is who I want to help make it click. (Wish I took a video)

@Javier Vargas it definitely helps them. I was trying to upload a video of someone who's been training with me for the last 5 years who's fighting next Saturday, but it won't upload. Her last fight, the guy running the promotion had thought she had more fights than she said because she stays lose and pretty composed while she fights
