hi friends, hope someone understand me
EQ GRAPH PAZ GRAPH i`m having trouble understanding frequencies & how to read them. How do I understand which frequencies to cut, boost etc by looking at the graphs on the EQ plugin for whatever I am mixing in the moment? vocals, drums, snares etc. I`m also having a hard time on understanding what the Paz analyser is showing me during a mix. Does anybody no how I go about understanding the graph and how to understand whatever problems it is showing me I`ve tried to find some youtube videos which explain in detail but I just can't find any which helps me understand how to read frequencies & problems occurring during a mix. Thanks for your time

Hey @Essa Capone , if you want a deep understanding of EQ, check Dylan’s phenomenal course on the matter: https://youtu.be/sHR7R-TY7NE?si=BAYNCJHCAY5yiTcU
How often do you use multiband compression?
Hello everyone, I'm learning more about multiband compression but having a hard time understanding the practical applications, so I was just wondering how many of you use multiband compression and if you had examples? I read that it's great for tightening up low-end and I read some other things that made it seem like it would be good to add to my arsenal from time-to-time as I work with Hip Hop and other low-end focused genres. I plan on finding some resources that explain it more simply, but thought I'd reach out on here first to hear some real-time experience.

Almost always on the bass bus, as the first insert, to get a supa-steady low-end under 80 to 100Hz. Medium speed, around 10dB of gain reduction, then +10dB of makeup gain. Makes the electric bass supa-stable, assertive and more mix-ready. Doesn’t always work on bouncy bass tracks, especially acoustic bass, where you want to keep the attack down there. Otherwise, as Jason said, when tonal correction is needed, or to control excess of enthusiasm in certain frequency areas, like upper-mids on the vocal bus for instance.
