Community Challenge: Long-Distance Recall!
Are you ready to put your training to the test and strengthen your dog’s recall skills? This week’s Community Challenge focuses on long-distance recall—a vital skill for safety and obedience that also deepens the bond between you and your dog. How It Works The goal is simple: see how far you can step away from your dog and successfully recall them! By following the steps in the Recall Module, you’ll build a reliable recall at increasing distances. Here’s how to participate: 1. Start Small 2. Gradually Increase Distance 3. Share Your Progress Inspiration I’ll kick things off by posting a video of my dog successfully recalling from a long distance after a sit command. Watch, get inspired, and challenge yourself to see how far you can go! Why Participate? - Improve your dog’s recall under real-world conditions. - Celebrate small wins and gradual progress. - Get feedback and encouragement from the community. - Pro Tip for Success Make sure to practice in a distraction-free environment at first. Once your dog is consistent, gradually add distractions to simulate real-life situations. Let’s see who can set the record for the longest recall! Remember, it’s not a competition—it’s about building skills and having fun with your dog. 🐾 Post your videos, ask questions, and share your experiences in the challenge thread. Let’s support each other on this journey! Ready, set, recall! 🚀

@Sean Mayall I like that it's sped up actually; I chose to adopt the idea too.
Hi there!
My names Gabe, my dog mirabelle is a 5 yr old lab mix. She is the reason I started pursuing dog training. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life but now I'm taking it one step further and making it my mission to help every dog owner I can. My training goal is to make mira so reliable, that I can take her anywhere and never be worried about her reacting, or leaving my side. Lately I've been taking her into stores and testing her commands to make sure she can maintain them even around the scariest of distractions.

Her face looking up at you is so good 😊

My yellow ⭐ is a speedy, playful girl and loves to catch balls and chase birds. Some of our current goals include: a stickier heel, having her hold her poses until release, and in the spring I want her help gardening!

An Adult Dog's Bowl
I'm fixing a visual plate of what an average dog's diet generally requires (40% fats, 40% proteins, 20% carbs). This should help offer vegetarian ideas as well as novel proteins too!
