Community Challenge: Long-Distance Recall!
Are you ready to put your training to the test and strengthen your dog’s recall skills? This week’s Community Challenge focuses on long-distance recall—a vital skill for safety and obedience that also deepens the bond between you and your dog. How It Works The goal is simple: see how far you can step away from your dog and successfully recall them! By following the steps in the Recall Module, you’ll build a reliable recall at increasing distances. Here’s how to participate: 1. Start Small 2. Gradually Increase Distance 3. Share Your Progress Inspiration I’ll kick things off by posting a video of my dog successfully recalling from a long distance after a sit command. Watch, get inspired, and challenge yourself to see how far you can go! Why Participate? - Improve your dog’s recall under real-world conditions. - Celebrate small wins and gradual progress. - Get feedback and encouragement from the community. - Pro Tip for Success Make sure to practice in a distraction-free environment at first. Once your dog is consistent, gradually add distractions to simulate real-life situations. Let’s see who can set the record for the longest recall! Remember, it’s not a competition—it’s about building skills and having fun with your dog. 🐾 Post your videos, ask questions, and share your experiences in the challenge thread. Let’s support each other on this journey! Ready, set, recall! 🚀

Sunday Park Day!
Every Sunday, between 12 and 2 I will be at the Marymoor Off-Leash Dog Park. I encourage anyone in the Greater Seattle Area with an offleash safe dog to join me. If you are struggling with dog aggression or can not recall your dog, please understand that we have to keep the public areas safe and until you have gotten a little further in your training, it would be best not to attend. With that out of the way, be sure to say hi if you see me there!

Weekly Calls
Every week there are multiple calls that are open to everyone in the community. I encourage you to participate! Every Monday at 9 AM, I will host a call for 1 hour. The purpose of this call is to set the tone for the week and to share our goals! Every Wednesday at 6:30 PM, I will host a call for 1 hour. The purpose of this call is to act as a Q&A. If you are struggling to get your problems solved through the community forum, this is the best place to ask me questions directly. If these times don't work for some of you, I may offer more variations in times or offer more calls to make sure everyone has the support they need.
