When things go wrong!
How do you handle plans getting blown out of the water? Anger, disappointment, frustration, sadness can all lead to problems with your spouse. My birthday plans changed when a kiddo came home from school sick and my husband started feeling bad. Instead of a full day together and going out for dinner … I got to comfort the sweet girl that felt so bad for “ruining” my day. I get to model to her that we get to create our own experience. And assure her my day was not ruined! I get to show her my happiness in my relationship with her father is not contingent on 1 Date. That when you have a strong relationship hiccups like these don’t lead to destructive behaviors. I love that I got this experience, and that my sweet girl was feeling 100% by the evening!💕💕🙌🏼 So the importance of ending my destructive relationships allows me to show up as the best mom possible! And show them what is possible and what to expect!

Dates
Do you date your partner anymore? How often do you make it a priority to go out on romantic date nights? Weekend getaways? Day date?

😬 we don’t prioritize this. I would love to, but there’s nothing to do around here AND hunting season is coming 😪

@Lynda Richard I’ve been trying to really focus when he’s talking at home, even when kids are loud etc. I think that helps. And agreeing with him more!
Hello!
Excited to be here and continue to learn from @Lynda Richard ! 14 years married to my hs sweetheart with 2 kids. Been through the HAAAARRD times and glad to say we are totally different people for it. In the best way. Actually had a moment of deep gratitude this morning and texted him with that. I want to be better about verbally expressing my admiration for him. I can truly say we are on the same team now. The relationship goal I write down every morning is that we are a power couple helping each other reach our goals. I see it working. We’re almost there. Excited to be here!
