I just completed a survey from TikTok describing how they’re developing the ability for you to post TikTok shop links OFF of TikTok and still get a commission. If you have a presence elsewhere online, this is great news.

I posted a video this morning promoting a meat slicer that has 30k views this evening. This is viral for me and my first video with real engagement but most of the comments are dragging the slicer for the sound. I’m sure it sounds louder in earbuds than it does in real life and the clips are sped up and chopped up so that could make it sound worse. I know these comments are fueling the virality but I feel bad for the product! Also, people are commenting about an episode of Seinfeld where Kramer gets a meat slicer. I had to look it up 😂 Can I reenact some scenes or is that unoriginal content? Can I even reply to a comment mentioning Kramer? I’m not a witty funny person. Today makes 8 weeks since being in the TTS! Finally yesterday a video took off! MY FIRST EVER! Typically my views are 300-800 on most videos and was getting real discouraged this past week while thinking this isn’t for me! But I KEPT POSTING & QUIT WORRYING ABOUT MY VIEWS AND QUIT CARING WHAT PEOPLE THINK! Yeah I messed up but hey it’s now going viral!!! 🥹🙌🏼 I’ve made over 250+ videos and on this video I even messed up on the voiceover and was going to delete it! I ended up leaving it and now it’s at 40k views with 55 sales so far in one day! I’ve been pushing 5-8 shop videos a day working hard and trying different stuff! KEEP GOING KEEP POSTING YALL DON’T GIVE UP!!! 🙌🏼❤️🥹 It doesn’t feel real!

My biggest takeaways from the event was in regards to violations: • Regarding health/wellness products, You do NOT have to verbally say your disclaimer (if you don’t want to). Simply adding it as on screen text is sufficient. Example: Results may vary. This is not intended to treat or diagnose. Or Check with your doctor. Results may vary. This is my personal experience with this product. • The easiest way to avoid violations is to keep it ‘general’ when talking about health products, such as talking about a ‘healthy lifestyle’. There were A LOT of numbers the TikTok staff provided to us (death by PowerPoint) and the presentations all basically conveyed that Tiktok Shop will get much busier for the holiday shopping season, specifically in early November… big surprise.
