It's definitely spam.... right?
Hi all, I seem to get a lot of messages from strangers that just say things like "Hi Karen", "Hi", or "How are you doing?". Is it me or is this just weird ie spam. When I check their profile they have minimal information and minimal or zero contributions to communities. I don't want to block people for innocently attempting to interact, but personally, if I send a message to a stranger I immediately introduce myself and say why I'm DM'ing them. What do you guys do in response to messages like this?

@Alvis Ciritis Yes I do it straight away these days!
48.9% — Average Skool Group Free Trial Conversion Rate!
Average INDUSTRY free trial conversion rate is 24.8%, according to FirstPageSage. Average SKOOL GROUP's free trial conversion rate is 48.9%. This is insanely high. Almost DOUBLE the industry average! 🎁 I ran a little Christmas giveaway, giving $100 to whoever could guess this number, and @Austin Williams guessed it first! I'll DM you to make sure you get paid. Congrats!

So interesting and I wonder how that impacts the many of us who have free groups and thinking about moving to paid at some point…. Or opening a second group for one free one paid. Seems like a wonderful incentive
Structure of workshops? Please vote from attendee perspective 🙏
If you were attending a low-ticket workshop series about "the foundations of mental health" - 5 or 6 x 60 minute sessions, how would you as an attendee prefer it to be structured? (I'm going to be offering this towards the end of January in my free community as a way of attracting more members, so I'm under pressure to make a decision about how it will look. So if you have run these kind of workshops before and found a structure that works, please share your advice!) Thanks!!!

@David le Roux Yes but how long of a break? Oh I see you voted for 3 sessions a week. Ok interesting!

@Denis Zhebritski thanks for your comment! Yes totally but this is just a foundational set of workshops. Like an introduction to mindset. Core principles yes, but theoretically could be done in one day too!! Oh maybe I should have put that as an option….. although Doug always says you need more days to build the relationship so maybe not.
Host your first IRL Meetup - now :-) (Step by step)
Many of you already have a community, but maybe you haven’t hosted any offline meetups yet. Why not? All you need is your favorite restaurant and a table reservation. Invite your community, and let´s go. :-) If only two people show up, you’ll still have a great evening with them. Perfect! That’s exactly how I started. Later, 10 people came, then 20, and then we hostet the first Skool Festival with +200 people. But let’s rewind a bit. What can you do today? Step 01: Pick a date that works for you. Make sure it’s a few weeks in the future. Step 02: Call your favorite restaurant and reserve a table for up to 10 people. Step 03: Announce the date to your community and ask them to message you if they want to come. Step 04: Adjust the reservation based on the number of people who confirm. Step 05: Enjoy an amazing evening with amazing people! How not to do it: Don’t ask who would like to meet and what dates work for everyone. Almost everyone would like to come, but almost everyone can’t make it on any specific date for one reason or another. After organizing hundreds of meetups, I can say this approach works best. Start with the few people who are ready to commit and willing to travel. And remember, it’s perfectly fine if only two or three dedicated members show up. What do you think? lg Calvin 🫡 Watch the video of my last meet up a couple of days ago in my office "Mission: To help 1 billion people find community." @Sam Ovens Special Shoutout to @Matthew Thompson (Mr. Irl) @Andrew Kirby (thank you for all the online sessions) and @Ted Carr (Belfast was amazong) for bringing people together. Online and Offline. Videoedit by @Sebastian Bässler

Great video
🔥 Fire status needs to be changed
Now it feels like every half decent person gets a fire status, making it easy to obtain. I can like 10 comments and I get the minimum, do that for 30 days and bam. I'd say keep the timing but make it slightly higher. 20, or maybe 50. Possibly 100? Let me know what you think.
