Many of you already have a community, but maybe you haven’t hosted any offline meetups yet.
Why not?
All you need is your favorite restaurant and a table reservation.
Invite your community, and let´s go. :-)
If only two people show up, you’ll still have a great evening with them.
Perfect!
That’s exactly how I started.
Later, 10 people came, then 20, and then we hostet the first Skool Festival with +200 people.
But let’s rewind a bit.
What can you do today?
Step 01:
Pick a date that works for you. Make sure it’s a few weeks in the future.
Step 02:
Call your favorite restaurant and reserve a table for up to 10 people.
Step 03:
Announce the date to your community and ask them to message you if they want to come.
Step 04:
Adjust the reservation based on the number of people who confirm.
Step 05:
Enjoy an amazing evening with amazing people!
How not to do it:
Don’t ask who would like to meet and what dates work for everyone.
Almost everyone would like to come, but almost everyone can’t make it on any specific date for one reason or another. After organizing hundreds of meetups, I can say this approach works best.
Start with the few people who are ready to commit and willing to travel.
And remember, it’s perfectly fine if only two or three dedicated members show up.
What do you think?
