Licensing a Mural for a non-profit
Hi all, I'm trying to figure out how much to charge for licensing art for a mural I created for a non-profit. I've done licensing contracts before, but never for a non-profit. Are there any resources that anyone knows of for figuring out how much to charge?

How I Made $30k in 1 Month From Art Sales and How You Can Too
Hey artists! šŸŒŸ I want to share a story with you that I hope will light a fire in you and remind you that anything is possible when you set your mind to it. A while back, I made $30,000 in art sales within a single month, and this is how it happened. My goal wasnā€™t just a hope; it was a decision. I didnā€™t just think about it or wish for it, I committed to it. Here's the truth: many artists set goals, but they donā€™t fully commit. They set a number, then second-guess it, tweak it, or lower it. But if youā€™re truly serious about hitting a goal, youā€™ve got to decide on it and commit without a doubt. And hereā€™s a key part: set a goal you believe in. If you donā€™t believe in it, why would you go all-in? For me, my goal was to make $40,000 in two months. Setting it over two months felt more achievable than one month, and it was a number I could believe in without feeling discouraged if I didnā€™t hit it immediately. Once I decided, I did three key things: 1. Commit to the goal with total belief. I was part of a mastermind group at the time, which helped boost my belief even more. When I shared my goal on a group Zoom call, I expected people to question it. But nobody did! That moment made me realize, ā€œThis is possible.ā€ Speaking your goal out loud to others can be a powerful commitment tool. 3. Write down your ā€œwhyā€ and visualize the feeling of achieving it. I wrote down why I wanted this goal and how Iā€™d feel once I achieved it. I wrote it as if it had already happened. This fueled my motivation every day. 2. Create a massive action plan. I planned to go beyond the minimum, doubling the efforts I thought Iā€™d need. If I needed 20 calls to hit my goal, I planned for 40. If I planned for one show, I thought about setting up two. This ā€œmassive actionā€ boosted my confidence even more. Funny thing? I didnā€™t even end up doing all the steps in my plan! My belief was so strong that I was vibrating at a high frequency, fully aligned with my goal, and the sales came in, two paintings, $30,000.- in the first month.

HAPPY FRIDAY! What was one big WIN this week?
I love this question; my wise business coach Ralph begins every session, asking me this. It forces me to look for the good, even when it was a rough week! :) They say that the feelings of gratitude bring in "good luck" or just good things in general. So the practice of NOTICING the good stuff is important, if you want to draw more good stuff to you. FOR ME: I got a deposit to hold a painting! This was a big one - it's 72" tall and 24" wide, and it's been sitting around for years. It's an awesome piece (photo below) - the collector who bought it loves to pay CASH. He's one of my favorite buyers. October has been really slow for art sales (it always is) and so selling this painting on October 30th saved the month :)

@Maria Brophy the star destroyer used 40 pounds of duct tape! That's approximately 20 sixty yard rolls! The others are closer to 10 rolls

A weird request
This nice guy who has been following me on fb for a long time just messaged me to inquire about prints for artwork I posted. He writes: "A high resolution virtual file would be awesome and save you the time and shipping. I might try having it printed on metallic paper (with your permission)" WTF???? What would you respond? This is what I replied. What do you think? Your request for a HD file is posing a bit of a question to me! Here is why: Basically if I did that for every person who wanted a print of my art I would have to work at a pizza shop to sustain my art hobby (: well more likely an architectural firm! That is what I trained for! I make a living from my art. It also took me years of trials and errors with printing to settle with what will have the best quality and results for my colors. My preference would be that I do the printing for you My prices go from US$27 (8x10 paper) and between $90 to $400 for canvas. Let me know what you think. I hope you understand! I am open to discuss your ideas. I look forward to hearing your thoughts šŸ˜€

I live to build things completely with duct tape, I've invented techniques and tools to help build my creations.
