Host your first IRL Meetup - now :-) (Step by step)
Many of you already have a community, but maybe you haven’t hosted any offline meetups yet. Why not? All you need is your favorite restaurant and a table reservation. Invite your community, and let´s go. :-) If only two people show up, you’ll still have a great evening with them. Perfect! That’s exactly how I started. Later, 10 people came, then 20, and then we hostet the first Skool Festival with +200 people. But let’s rewind a bit. What can you do today? Step 01: Pick a date that works for you. Make sure it’s a few weeks in the future. Step 02: Call your favorite restaurant and reserve a table for up to 10 people. Step 03: Announce the date to your community and ask them to message you if they want to come. Step 04: Adjust the reservation based on the number of people who confirm. Step 05: Enjoy an amazing evening with amazing people! How not to do it: Don’t ask who would like to meet and what dates work for everyone. Almost everyone would like to come, but almost everyone can’t make it on any specific date for one reason or another. After organizing hundreds of meetups, I can say this approach works best. Start with the few people who are ready to commit and willing to travel. And remember, it’s perfectly fine if only two or three dedicated members show up. What do you think? lg Calvin 🫡 Watch the video of my last meet up a couple of days ago in my office "Mission: To help 1 billion people find community." @Sam Ovens Special Shoutout to @Matthew Thompson (Mr. Irl) @Andrew Kirby (thank you for all the online sessions) and @Ted Carr (Belfast was amazong) for bringing people together. Online and Offline. Videoedit by @Sebastian Bässler

Skool is NOT social media
For those who don’t know, I run This World is a Simulation with @Geo Youakim , and I wanted to share something that helped us reduce churn by 10%, and makes us $55,000 in MRR: 👉Understanding that Skool is not social media 👈 The solution to churn is obvious: Make the product better. Why? Because in theory, a good product = people stay and continue to pay (rhyming fully intended) But what makes a good product? A lot of people think a "good product" just means having great courses and calls. While that’s true, most people overlook the community. We learned this the hard way. We redesigned our classroom, improved live calls and started adding useless bonuses. But nothing worked until we gave the community some attention. Our community was full of random general conversations that weren’t focused or valuable. This made it harder for people to find real value, which made the product feel useless. And when people don’t see value? They don’t get results. If they don’t get results. They leave. If you run a community that teaches something, your #1 goal is to help people get results. So, we shifted our focus to do just that. We turned the community into a place of learning, A place where people can learn about manifestation and start seeing real results. We added clear guidelines, rules, and systems to make the community more focused on helping members learn and apply the teachings. The results? - Churn went way down. (10% reduction in a week) - People started seeing results faster. (The most important thing) - The community became way more valuable. If you’re struggling with churn, remember: Skool is not social media. I’d love to hear your thoughts—what changes have you made that helped reduce churn or improve your community?

And this leads to a pump and dump if you make a big push at launch

Coupon Code Hack
I did a quick search in 'feature requests' and discovered coupon codes for members wasn't an option right now and had a passing thought... Someone correct me if I'm wrong but there's nothing stopping me from pricing a group membership or course at a lower rate during a group or course launch then changing the price a week later. Also, maybe organising a date and time with selected members where by changing the price of your group or course for 10 minutes or until those selected members have successfully subscribed or purchased the course at the discounted rate. Would there be any complications doing this?

The price stays the same at the price the person joins. So If I join your community at 10 dollars it stays at that price for me. You can change it to whatever you want for different times and it wont effect anyones membership.
Drip-release pages inside a Classroom??
I just saw this now! Is this a new feature, or have I only now discovered this? It solves so many problems! Incredible. We just talked with @Ryan Duncan about releasing a quiz a day later people join. And I was about to create the whole classroom only for that.. But, in essence, I could just make a Quiz page in the "START HERE" release 1 day after. From the user perspective, do they understand that this is coming, or do we need to identify and inform them somehow? I am curious, if anyone is using it, and how. 👀 I am discovering new features on a daily. Love it.
