My favourite routine to start the day is simple yet effective: waking up at 7 am, taking a moment to feel grateful for my family, then getting stuck into my morning routine. I focus on hydrating, a bit of exercise (if itโ€™s a gym day), and mapping out my key priorities. It helps me stay grounded and ensures I bring my best energy to everything I doโ€”whether itโ€™s work, family time, or personal growth. @Justin Yip - we were talking about this yesterday. Care to share yours?

@Braxton Luke Appreciate you both sharing your routines! Itโ€™s great to see how aligned we all are in creating purposeful starts to the day. Justin, focusing on internalizing your vision sounds powerful, and @Braxton Luke, I love how you incorporate gratitude and movementโ€”simple but impactful. Whatโ€™s been the biggest shift or benefit youโ€™ve noticed since sticking to these routines? Always interesting to hear how these practices play out in day-to-day life.

The Problem With Goals In 2025 As A Coach
Several months ago, I set a goal to land my first HT client. After crunching the numbers, I realized Iโ€™d need to do around 250 outreaches per day. (In hindsight using outreach to get clients at that time was not the smartest thing haha). But I didnโ€™t have automation, so I had to do outreach manually while having school, a part-time, and my free community. There was a point where I almost gave up. I was spending hours every day on outreach, and people kept telling me to quit. It got to the point that Iโ€™d get called on in the middle of class while DMing people. I was about to stop before I gave it 30 more days. But it was enough time to improve my script. My response rate 2.4xโ€™d and I got my first HT client. So instead of quitting, think about the tipping point where everything goes exponential. Your content and community improve, or people FINALLY respond to your outreach. Giving up makes your brain think you can't succeed and will try less for future goals. This creates a negative feedback loop for future goals. Lesson: Detach the timeframe from your goal. I didnโ€™t set a New Yearโ€™s resolution, but I have goals I made months ago, and I stopped focusing on the timeframe for them. Do you set timeframes for your goals and coaching business and if so why?

The Problem With Goals In 2025 As A Coach

I totally get where youโ€™re coming from, but Iโ€™ve moved away from attaching specific timeframes to goals. A lot of that shift came from understanding the principles in The Secret and manifestation. For me, itโ€™s more about focusing on the intention, trusting the process, and aligning actions with the belief that itโ€™s already happening. Setting rigid timeframes can sometimes add unnecessary pressure and actually block the energy needed to achieve the goal. Instead, I focus on clarity and consistency while leaving the โ€œwhenโ€ to unfold naturally.

@Jules Mundur Totally agree with you
๐Ÿง Wisdom from a Jedi Master ๐Ÿ’ซ
As we move into this new year, Iโ€™ve been thinking about that Yoda quote: โ€œDo or do not. There is no try.โ€ For sure itโ€™s my 2025 GIF! In my own life Iโ€™m no longer allowed to use the word โ€œtryโ€ - itโ€™s either a yes, no, or later. โ€œTryโ€ usually meansโ€ฆ - Polite response when I really want to say no - Codependency pattern where I donโ€™t want to let someone down - Not truly valuing the thing I say Iโ€™ll try - Inability to see or communicate my priorities - Indefinite putting something off w/ a slight positive feeling because I said "Iโ€™ll tryโ€ย  Itโ€™s time to back the words we say or the intentions we set with actions this year! ๐Ÿ˜Ž Here are inspiring quotes from Yodaโ€ฆ 1๏ธโƒฃ โ€œDo or do not. There is no try.โ€ Commit fully to your goalsโ€”hesitation wonโ€™t lead to success. 2๏ธโƒฃ โ€œTrain yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose.โ€ Release fear to unlock your true potential. 3๏ธโƒฃ โ€œYou must unlearn what you have learned.โ€ Embrace new ways of thinking and let go of old paradigms. 4๏ธโƒฃ โ€œPass on what you have learned.โ€ Your knowledge is a giftโ€”share it to inspire others. 5๏ธโƒฃ โ€œMany of the truths that we cling to depend on our point of view.โ€ Shift perspectives to see opportunities for growth. 6๏ธโƒฃ โ€œIn a dark place we find ourselves, and a little more knowledge lights our way.โ€ Even small steps forward create light and momentum. 7๏ธโƒฃ โ€œSize matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you?โ€ Your impact isnโ€™t measured by scaleโ€”small actions ripple outward. 8๏ธโƒฃ โ€œFear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering.โ€ Choose love and courage to stay aligned with abundance. Which Yoda quote resonates most with you right now? Share in the comments! ๐Ÿ‘‡ May the force be with you. ๐Ÿ’ซ

@Julie Anna Ceglia Iโ€™ve had that Yoda quote in my head tooโ€”I rewatched all the Star Wars films before Christmas, so itโ€™s been sticking with me. Dropping "try" from my vocabulary has been a challenge as well. Itโ€™s easy to use it as a polite way of avoiding a commitment or decision. How have you found shifting from "try" to a clear yes or no? Any moments where itโ€™s made a big difference for you?

@Julie Anna Ceglia Thatโ€™s brilliant! Focusing on one thing and making โ€œtryโ€ a taboo word sounds like a great step forward for your team. Would love to hear how it goes with your team. Keep me posted! Star Wars really does have layers of meaning to unpackโ€”so much wisdom hidden in those stories.
