I’m so glad you were vulnerable enough with us to talk about this <3 It made me feel more gracious towards myself and my recent health set backs.

Topical Magnesium
Hi!!! If you were on the call today I discussed a topical magnesium, with melatonin that helped me sleep, I also like their bath flakes! Here is the website: https://www.ancient-minerals.com

I’m excited to try this instead of my melatonin + magnesium gummies πŸ₯° hopefully I won’t feel as tired in the morning but still feel relaxed enough to fall asleep at night
Happy Summer, what's in your fridge?
Today is Summer Solstice! The longest day of the year!! I personally LOVE summer solstice! It also means it's officially summer! This is the peak time for fruit, there are so many options in season! What fruits are filling your counter top or fridge right now??? Post of pic of your fruit hauls! Here's what my countertop looks like rn!

Eating healthy at social gatherings
Many of my clients talk to me about how tough it is to eat healthy at social events due to judgement from those around them. Whether they bring their own food and everyone questions what it is or they are questioned as to why they aren't going to eat something. I too have been there before and at first it really would get my down! Until I realized I needed to let it go for two important reasons: 1. I feel so much better with my health issues under control, and I'm happier for it. 2. It speaks more to their own insecurities about their health. It definitely feels uncomfortable at first being around friends and family when you've implemented new nutrition standards for yourself, but in time the more you do it, it will feel natural. Don't let the judgement stop you from going to social gatherings! Any judgement probably has nothing to do with you anyway! How did you get over the discomfort going to social events eating differently?

I’ve definitely experienced judgement from my friends for eating healthier now and felt insecure about it. But I’ve learned not to take it personally because 1. I’ve come so far to just return to my old habits and 2. I wouldn’t be able to hang out with said friends or family if I ate/ followed the standard American diet. I have been bed ridden for the past two years of my life because of my UC. I had no social life. Now that I’ve changed my diet, this is the first summer I have been able to have fun and go out. I get to transfer out to a different college instead of staying in my hometown. I’m finally getting my life back and doing all the things I had originally planned for my future. I do not care anymore what people think ab me bringing my own food to social events!! It’s so ridiculous in retrospect! I’ve also found it leads to good conversation and positive influence. My grandpa who has never paid much attention to his nutrition has changed his eating habits drastically by cutting out dairy products, seed oils and has started eating way more fruits and vegetables. I didn’t even tell him to do anything- he did this on his own because he said he is inspired to eat better because he sees how it’s changed my life!
