๐Ÿ’ƒ The Woman in the Red Dress: Alex Hormoziโ€™s Lesson from The Matrix
Alex Hormozi tells a powerful story from The Matrix that perfectly illustrates the importance of focus in business. Every day, we face new opportunities. The bigger you get, the bigger the opportunities. And the harder it is to say no. ๐Ÿšซ In the story, Neo is walking through a crowded street with Morpheus. Suddenly, Neo notices a woman in a red dress and his head turns. ๐Ÿ”ด Morpheus asks, โ€œWere you listening, Neo? Or were you looking at the woman in the red dress?โ€ When Neo looks back, the woman is goneโ€”replaced by Agent Smith pointing a gun at his head. ๐ŸŽฏ Hereโ€™s the lesson: In business, distractions often appear as shiny opportunities. ๐ŸŒŸ The higher you climb, the more attractive these distractions become โ€”the woman in the red dress. ๐Ÿ’ƒ At every level of success, you must learn to say โ€œnoโ€ again and again. Alex used to think that once I learned this skill, Iโ€™d be done. But the truth is, the woman in the red dress keeps coming backโ€”each time, more enticing than before. Success isnโ€™t just about innovation; itโ€™s about consistently doing what you should be doing, even when distractions try to pull you away. ๐Ÿ’ก Focus is your superpower. ๐Ÿ”ฅ https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7251657559374274560/ P.S. Whatโ€™s your biggest distraction in business? Comment below. ๐Ÿ‘‡

my biggest distraction is seeing people make a lot of money in the skool games, and their businesses are all about 1/ making money online 2/ fitness So now I ask myself whether I should stop doing what I'm doing and pick a new niche, like e.g. making money with Skool

@Sascha Born i will see if i can decidate my sunday eve to this movie ๐Ÿ˜Š i understand what you're saying here, the thing here is that "being excited" is a transatory thing, and what would even classify as "excited"? I'd rather be content than excited, and content i already am. I just think that, if i'm playing the game of making money online, i might as well play the best game, with the best players. Cause whether you spend 10 hours a day working on a certain niche, or that same 10 hours an another niche, it's still 10 hours of work. And at the end of the day, the "excitement" comes from implementing the right strategy to make money, the right launch, the right ad campaign, etc. The niche you're working in might not be the most important thing. "Get excited and the money will follow" > i dont think that is necessarily true. I know many excited people in my niche who are broke ๐Ÿ˜‰
Onboarding questions: how?
In this video Alex says: "say who you're looking for. when they come in: validate if they have those things, and if they qualify you give them the onboarding . if itโ€™s not, then don't, and cancel their trail" Ok, so how do we do this technically? 1/ upon joining, we should DM them and ask those specific questions or 2/ use the membership questions? What would be best practice?

@Ali Khan UPDATE: no membership questions available for PAID groups ! (including free trial)
No more FREE group > CTA to landing page or 7-day FREE TRIAL?
Let's say you had a free and a paid group. The free group was to collect email addresses (and funnel then into the paid one). Now, with the arrival of the FREE TRIAL, you decide you want to liquidate the free group. Less complication, and life is easier. QUESTION: Do you set the CTA to a landing page to collect as much email addresses as possible, or do you set CTA straight to the free trial, knowing less people will sign up compared to the free group, and thus collect less email addresses. What are your thoughts? ---------------- Additionally: how do you activate a welcome email sequence (let's say 5 emails) to each new member of your free trial? (in the case you're not using other email software but keep everything in Skool)

@Alexi Drouin ill implement soon. what's taking me time : studying everything. when you have 1.4M subs and verbally speak out ctas in your videos, this is something that needs thorough thinking. I cannot in one video send them to my free group and in th next video to my free trial, only to change my mind again a few weeks later.
Does MMR take ad spending into account?
MMR for the Skool Games doesn't substract your ad spendings right? so is MMR a valuable metric for winning the Skool Games? One might overspend on ads, or run ads at a loss, and still win the Skool Games, no? Am I missing something?

๐Ÿ” Churn Checklist: Alex Hormoziโ€™s 14 Strategies ๐Ÿ’ช
People sign upโ€ฆ then they cancel. If you want growth, you need to keep members engaged. Hereโ€™s a 14-step checklist from Alex Hormozi to help you lower churn and keep people around. 1. Cancellation Video ๐ŸŽฅ๐Ÿšซ When someone clicks โ€œcancel,โ€ play a video explaining what theyโ€™ll miss. Sometimes a reminder of the value theyโ€™re leaving behind can make them reconsider. 2. Find the Activation Point ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿš€ The โ€œactivation pointโ€ is the first โ€œaha!โ€ moment. Identify what this is for your product and get members there fastโ€”first wins make lasting members. 3. Onboarding Calls โ˜Ž๏ธ๐Ÿ‘‹ Welcome new members with a call. This brief touchpoint makes them feel supported and less likely to cancel. 4. Time Unlock โณ๐Ÿ”“ Release content gradually to keep members coming back. Drip-feeding prevents overwhelm and encourages long-term engagement. 5. Level Unlock ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ“ˆ Create levels with new perks or tools at each step. The sense of progress keeps members motivated and invested. 6. From Guru to Community ๐Ÿ‘ฅ๐Ÿ’ฌ Members might join for you, the โ€œguru,โ€ but keep them for the community. A space for connection fosters loyalty. 7. Encourage Pausing, Not Canceling ๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ธ Offer a โ€œpauseโ€ option instead of outright cancellation. Many people just need a breakโ€”not a full exit. 8. Smart Pricing Tactics ๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿ’ฐ Offer discounts for longer commitments. A smart pricing structure can be the difference between staying and canceling. 9. Build a Positive Culture ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ”ฅ When members feel part of something bigger, theyโ€™re more likely to stay. Share success stories and celebrate wins. 10. Value-Pricing Balance โš–๏ธ๐Ÿ’ต Price to match value. Members who feel theyโ€™re getting a fair deal are more likely to stay. 11. Regular Community Calls ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ป Hold calls where members can ask questions, share wins, and get feedback. A connected community is a loyal one. 12. Target High-Retainers ๐ŸŽฏ๐Ÿ™Œ Analyze who stays longest and why. Target more of those typesโ€”quality over quantity pays off. 13. Reduce Overwhelm ๐Ÿ˜ต๐Ÿ“‰ Donโ€™t drown members in information. Simplify and provide value in stages to prevent churn.
