7 Hacks For Writing Irresistible Episode Titles
Did you know that episode TITLES are one of the most important elements of your podcast? 😯 I’ve spoken to countless hosts who have over 1 million downloads, and all of them say that episode titles were a crucial element in achieving that milestone. I made a list of 7 ways to upgrade your podcast titles immediately. ⬇️⬇️⬇️ 1. The 4 U’s: Unique, Ultra-Specific, Urgent, Useful - These are essential qualities identified by Michael Masterson to create compelling content. 2. Audience-Centric Writing: Always consider your audience. Ask yourself, "Would I be intrigued enough to click on this title?" 3. Effective Title Formulas: Utilize starter phrases for titles like "How to," "Why You," "How I," and "Stop THIS - Do THIS instead" to grab attention quickly. 4. Descriptive Enhancements in Titles: Incorporate additional descriptive words within brackets to add context or highlight ease or timeliness: How to Grow a Podcast (It’s Easy) How to Use Instagram to Get More Listeners (In 2024) 5. Strategic Use of Lists: Employ lists to structure content clearly and effectively: 7 Ways to… 3 Reasons Why… 6. Highlighting Prominent Guests: If the episode features a well-known guest, prioritize their name in the title. For other episodes, format the title first followed by the guest’s name in brackets: Big Name FIRST: "Elon Musk - Insights on Future Technologies" Otherwise: "Exploring Deep Sea Mysteries (With John Doe)" 7. Capitalization of Key Words: Emphasize important words in titles to make them stand out and enhance readability Why you MUST do this NOW How to STOP doing this I go into each strategy in detail on the recent episode of Oh My Pod. I hope you check it out! 👇 https://oh-my-pod-podcast-strategy.cohostpodcasting.com/

While this makes titles seem clickbaity, it does help to attract more people. Do you know if services like Castmagic utilize these strategies?

I'm wondering if you can do the same with ChatGPT prompts? I shall experiment!

@Elizabeth Hambleton awesome, thank you! I'll find yours on Apple as well. Spotify only does ratings, but no reviews. It's been a fun project with the kids but they have been so busy during the school year they had no interest. They are wanting to get back into it now.

To kick things off please comment below introducing yourself. Let us know… #1 Who you are, where you're from and who you work with? #2 What do you hope to get from this community? #3 For fun, what do you like to do? #4 Drop a photo of your office space or where you like to work from. I’ll go first: #1 My name is Celine Albertini and I am a Kinesiologyst and a former teacher turned online entrepreneur, podcast coach and COO of our company Podigy. I was born and raised in Italy and now Justin and I live between Kelowna, BC and South Tyrol, Italy. All thanks to our amazing business and Podcast. #2 I want this academy / community to be the one stop shop for indie podcasters. I remember a few years ago when I was trying to research podcasting on my own… It is hard. There are pieces of information everywhere, but the thing is I lost a crazy amount of time finding them. So we decided to give back to the podcast community and make all of our resources available in one place! #3 For fun I like to travel, work out, hike and hang out with my friends. I am also a very big health enthusiast and I love researching all sorts of health related things. #4

@Matt Findora That's fantastic! I'll actually be in Ft Wayne tonight. Are you on LinkedIn? Let's Connect over there if you are. Would love to chat with you about your coaching and see if you'd be game to jump on as a guest on my podcast. I try to showcase who coaches are, what they do, and how they help people. Jess Berry helps women who have been subjected to sexual abuse and she has been on my podcast. Bryan Rindfusz is helping men with their mental, emotional, and physical well-being. But I haven't had anyone talk specifically about victim mindsets.

Making Money From Your Podcast WITHOUT Sponsors with Carl Richards
Are you looking to monetize your podcast? 🤑 We all are. At the end of the day, podcasting is fun and fulfilling, but it also costs money. Money that we would ideally like to get back at some point. That's where monetization comes in. But most people think of monetization the wrong way - especially for a new podcast. I interviewed Carl Richards on my podcast (about podcasting) to talk about monetization.. in unique ways. Here are 3 key things we discussed: 1. Your podcast audience is your warm audience - they know you and they trust you. They will buy your higher ticket offerings if they are showcased correctly. 2. Creating a low-ticket community around your podcast 3. Doing hot-seat coaching on an episode To hear Carl and I go more in-depth on these unlocks and more, listen to our interview. 👇 https://oh-my-pod-podcast-strategy.cohostpodcasting.com/
