Celebration Time!
In the whirlwind of entrepreneurship and parenting, it's easy to overlook the small victories that happen every day. Yet, these moments are the very milestones that pave the way to larger successes. Whether it's completing your to-do list, making it to school drop off on time, or finally sorting that mountain of paperwork, every small win deserves a celebration! In our busy lives, acknowledging these achievements can boost our morale and keep us motivated. For example, I like to jot down my daily wins as part of my evening routine. This not only helps me keep track of progress but also provides a tangible reminder of my capabilities, especially on tougher days. 🎉 Let's take a moment to share and celebrate our small wins. What's one thing you accomplished today that made you smile? It could be as simple as a successful client call or finding time for a 10-minute meditation. Sharing these can inspire others to notice and appreciate their own daily successes. Poll: How do you prefer to celebrate your small wins?

Celebration Time!

Yesterday & today I took the first 15 minutes of my day to sit on my front steps & soak in the sun. This morning I added two meditations so today was closer to 30 minutes. It was a break in my normal morning routine. I’m looking forward to how this shifts my day’s productivity. ☺️

Batching à la Française
🍴 In our French household, where cuisine is the heart of the home, the idea of eating the same meal twice was unthinkable. I spent countless hours preparing fresh, diverse dishes three times a day for our family of four. However, when my second business venture began demanding more of my time, I realized something had to give. Initially, I resisted change, but the necessity for efficiency led me to reevaluate our kitchen routine. I transitioned to meal planning on Thursdays, grocery shopping on Fridays, and batch cooking on Sundays. This new approach was a game-changer, freeing up precious hours during the week that I could redirect towards growing my business and spending quality time with my family. Plus, we noticed a delightful bonus—our grocery bills plummeted! Now, I cherish our Sunday cooking sessions, which allow us to explore new recipes and flavors without the daily pressure. It’s not just about filling the fridge; it’s about crafting a week of culinary delights that satisfy our French taste for variety and excellence. 👩‍🍳 Do you meal prep for the week? What is one favourite recipe of yours that you could happily enjoy any day of the week? Share your culinary secrets!

This is such a great idea. I'm single which means meals would have to be freezable or something I could really deal with eating 4 times in a row (4 lunches for ex:). I've recently started doing smaller batch grocery shopping. It has cut down on wasteful overshopping. It probably seems like that would increase prep time. I just look at it as I'm getting the freshest ingredients every time I eat. OK but back to your question. The meal I could eat for over a week straight is taco salad. Taco with the shell all crunched up in the salad with salsa & sour cream as the dressing. I also feel better about being able to get tomatoes into my diet. I'm not a fan but I will eat salsa. :D

@Marianne Suarez Sabugo oh yes! Every! Target order is a pickup. It has saved me so much $$. And I shop & stockup when they are offering gift cards on orders for certain products. This week - household essentials. $15 GC for a $50 purchase. I need toilet paper, laundry detergent for sure. Then I’ll add $15 more for things that will be extra. I had so many 2 years ago, I bought myself a mini Keurig for Christmas. That has saved me a LOT of Starbucks money.
Goals or not goals?
Clear goals are like a roadmap for your journey—they show you where you're going and how to get there. Without clear goals, you won't get anywhere near your dream life. You need to know where you want to go to get there. How do you ensure your goals are as clear as possible?

@Marianne Suarez Sabugo not really. I just feel like it’s too much. There are too many points to be made when making the goals.

@Marianne Suarez Sabugo I probably didn’t like having them used against me in reviews.
Mompreneur Morning Routines: How to kickstart a productive day.
Mornings can make or break your day as a mompreneur. I've never been a morning person so I won't tell you that I wake up 2 hours before the kids to workout and prep the day, that would be lying... even though I tried for a while and sometimes I do it but very very rarely! Instead, I've crafted a 10-minute morning routine that I do when I am back from school and daycare drop-off. It includes gratitude journaling, reviewing my calendar for the day, writing affirmations and a quick visualization exercise. This routine grounds me and prepares me to face the hectic day with focus. What rituals help you kickstart a productive day? Share your morning routine and let’s inspire each other to rise and thrive! Poll: What's essential in your morning routine?

You know what I really appreciate about this routine @Marianne Suarez Sabugo it’s on YOUR schedule. After you’ve taken the kids & handled the biz. It’s like a morning reset or break. I bet it helps you get focused on your tasks in the amount of time you have til it’s time to go for pickup.

@Marianne Suarez Sabugo I was on the teacher side of the parent drop off line at my last job. I loved that duty. But those lines were long.
Flexible Hours, Fun Outings
With the kids out of school and the weather at its best, how do you adjust your working hours to fit in more fun family outings? I like to split my days and make sure that when I am working, I am really focused and when I am spending time with the family, I am really present. How do I do it? When it's time to work, I set up activities for the kids that I know will keep them busy for a while (playdoh, painting or a water table in the backyard and if it means a show, so be it) or make sure I have childcare available. When it's time to have fun, I make sure that my clients know that I am not available and I stay away from my phone as much as possible. I am curious to know, what is your strategy? Maybe you start earlier or decide to work in the evening. Share your schedule hacks that help you get work done and still leave plenty of time for summer adventures!

I don’t have kids but I have spent the last 20 or so summers being off task & off schedule. Switching from a 7-4 job to an entrepreneur has been like herding my summer brain 🧠 to get to work. I’m sure this will get easier as time moves along but I have struggled with summer brain without the rigid work schedule. It’s learning to balance in a different way now.
