Cool Scheduling Hack
Okay, this isn't 100% a marketing thing, but I figured out a cool little trick when using Google calendar. Have you ever had someone that said they wanted to get on a Zoom call but they were so busy they would never actually book? But you do have their email? The you can organize the meeting but afterwards change the meeting "ownership" to that person. Then send a message to that person saying, "Hey ___, I understand how busy you've been so I just wanted to make it as easy as possible for you. I booked a meeting for later but assigned you as the owner. Just move it wherever you like and I'll make time for it" Obviously isn't perfect, but most of the time it works.

@Adam Posner right, that is the downside. It's kind of a last resort.
Marketers hang out
I'm thinking of hosting a zoom call for an hour or two later this week if anyone wants to hang and nerd out about marketing. If you'd be interested drop me a line

But I wouldn't have been able to make it anyway as I had back to back meetings at that time
I come bringing beer & pizza
Hey there, @Tobias Allen thanks for the invite to the group. Everybody else it's great to meet you. My name's Will. These days I mostly work as a fractional CMO for venture backed tech companies. But before that I was an Agora Copy Chief for years. And before that I was Copy Chief for a guy named Ramit Sethi at a company called I Will Teach You to be Rich. I've got just over $837 million in sales directly attributed to my copy over the last 10 years. And I'm here to help. If you ever want to get a second set of eye on your copy, or need a recommendation for a great copywriter let me know. I have a decent pipeline of talent that I'm always happy to share. And if any of you are interested in referral work drop me a line. 90% of what I do these days is set strategy and connect my clients with the best people to execute it. I can't wait to get to know all of you. -Will P.S. I can not deliver pizza or beer over the computer. But if any of you show up in Charleston I will treat you to the very best, mediocre dinner of your life. P.P.S. As an apology for not actually having beer, here's the recording of a talk I did a couple of years ago. People paid $2,500 to be in that room but you get it for free. Hope you enjoy.

Good to have you hear @Will Green! Your expertise is incredible!
Why you shouldn't always give the customer what they want
It's widely believed you have to always give the customer what they ask for. This is a fallacy in a sales and marketing environment. Example: Data shows you make more sales when you take controls off a webinar replay. If you asked people what they'd prefer for a replay, they would say they'd want the ability to hit pause or scroll through the video. What your customers like isn't always what's best for your marketing. There's value in controlling the frame. No one asks for a 2-hour webinar with a pitch at the end. Yet you can't argue with the sales that webinars can produce. Something to consider when designing your marketing. “If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.” - Henry Ford.

So do you think it is still a good idea to give access to a webinar replay? I like them as I like to study the webinar to make sure I get as much value as possible.
