How to: Get the rocket ship (by writing) 🚀
Somebody pointed out that I had the rocket ship emoji today...(skip to the end for action points) I said "Oh cool! What's that mean?" 🤡 I had no idea it meant you were doing over $10k on Skool... This month has been the hardest I've ever worked in my life. And so I didn't even notice the rocket ship emoji. But the reason I hit that this month is simple: - I set a CRAZY goal (tell ya in a sec) - Crafted an offer that people need - Presented it in a way that solved their problems - And marketed on the channels they were on 🚀 Action Points: 1. Find a demand that exists already (don't try and create demand) 2. Study the way your target clients speak (this will guide the tone of your copy) 3. Write in that tone, on the platforms they're on (Emails, Instagram Stories, Youtube (scripts), Tweets, Skool Posts etc.) 4. Solve a problem, that leads to another problem It also helps if you set a CRAZY goal 📈 Mine was and IS Skool games...which might seem like a stretch considering there's only 50ish hours left.... But copy is powerful at the right time and place. If anyone wants my email templates, shoot me a DM or comment and I'm happy to share how I'm marketing my community via email. See you on the leaderboards 🏆

How I Reduced Churn From 37% -> 6% in 2 Months
Since we're still early here with Skool, most of us go through phases with the company as it grows. For the past few months, one of those major pushes has been churn. Email notifications changed, the exit video was added and everyone had the sudden awakening that it didn't matter how many people joined their community if they kept leaving lol After the Skool Games Mastermind in June myself and many others set out on a mission to kill churn the right way. Here's a breakdown of what I did, the results, and how you can do it too. Phase 1: Understanding what my churn was to start with This was of course a slightly inflated number since I (like everyone else) went ham to win the Skool games. Lot's of wild promotions and promises that are tough to fulfill. That being said, my churn was 37% the month after the games. This means that 37% of the people who joined in May left in June. No bueno. ** For reference, <20% churn is considered decent and <10% churn is considered GOOD Phase 2: Prioritizing my game plan for getting back on track This started with fundamentals. Would I even want to stay in my community? I needed to make my product better FAST. Luckily @Alex Hormozi and @Sam Ovens gave us a multitude of ways to improve. These included: 1. Onboarding calls - Connect with new members ASAP to show them you care, provide guidance and make them feel a part of the team. These are best done in groups of 5-6. 2. Understanding your members - Looking at the data for my current community to determine who my ideal customer was and begin tailoring more towards them specifically. 3. Increasing engagement - There are many ways to do this, enough so that people have communities for it. I'll share how I solved it. 4. Clear roadmap - You have to define what success looks like and eliminate distractions. 5. Amazon Prime Effect - Give so many different separate value adds that it is illogical to leave 6. Live calls - At the end of the day the world is shifting to interaction over courses. Run with it

Thanks for sharing. Be interesting to see the membership numbers against the churn rates
Who does the future belong to?
This is one of my all time favorite pictures. It’s Walt Disney sitting in Main Street the day before Disneyland opened to the public. Circa 1955. What do you think was going through his mind? Maybe a lot of thoughts he was having are similar to thoughts we have before launching our businesses or communities. The future isn’t created by those who think of cool things to build or spend countless hours “learning” how to do stuff. The future belongs to the action takers. Be an action taker today 🔥

Maybe I should have chosen a cat and not a mouse as my lead character😀
Building Skool
How do you build your influence outside of Skool so you can bring more people to your Skool community? For me, I prioritize YouTube, Instagram, and my email list. I share similar content across all of these platforms and make sure to promote my Skool community constantly. I probably should have a more automated system in place but right now, this has worked well for me! What do you cool cats do? Bonus point if you have automated systems in place.

@Jared Orr Would love to share, but as its something I have never seen spoken about, I really should figure out a way to monetise it, but I'm not exactly in the right niche! Think I'm going to test some more and then look for someone to monetise with. Good luck with the 500, I'm sure you'll get there.🤞
Feedback as a Skool group user 📝 [PLEASE VOTE!]
After many discussions with our members and Skool users we took the decision a few weeks back to simplify our classroom (in our free group) to help combat overwhelm. One of the trainings inside was a 2 hour workshop, then our call replays were stacking up to multiple hours, and we also had a lots of things we could see people weren't utilising; so with the feedback we got and people being in so many Skool groups we realised it was hindering not helping. We now have mostly "bite-sized" trainings and time bound access to call replays, as well as other more comprehensive workshops etc that people can purchase as and when they want. For those of you who are active Skool users (eg you go in a few set groups regularly) what would you say would be your preference inside a (free) group in relation to how you can access the content/trainings inside? EDIT: I am purely looking for feedback from you as a user/member personally re HOW you like to learn/consume (rather that what/why etc for this particular poll)

IMO Learning should be as engaging as Tik Tok. That's what I'm designing 😀
