Breaking Down Hormozi's VSL Structure: So you can use it!
Creating a VSL for your about page increases the likelihood of conversion. It's a must do. Hormozi briefly touched on how it was put together but I wanted to give you a more indepth breakdown so you can take it and make it your OWN 🫵 You have probably heard of this framework before: - problem - proof - promise - plan And now I'm going to break it down from its WOW to it's HOW. ----------------------------------- 1. PROBLEM/PAIN Start your VSL by making the pain relevant to your ideal avatar. Ask questions that end with the prospect saying YES: - Do you wake up every morning feeling tired? YES or - Isn't it annoying see people like you succeeding everyday and you're wondering "why am I not succeeding too? Getting your prospect to FEEL the pain in this opening of your VSL is crucial for setting the tone for the latter part of the VSL Hormozi then transitions the video and RELATES it to himself by saying: "I get it, I was once there too, it wasn't until I.... - INSERT SOLUTION YOU TOOK TO FIX PROBLEM - When you are selling in your VSL, you don't want to start with YOU being the solution, but rather just giving them the solution that worked for you. The crazy part about this is this solution is exactly what you are going to be selling them into throughout the entire VSL. We just say it differently in the first segment so it becomes more relatable to the propsect. THE TRANSITION to all PROOF PROMISE PLAN Hormozi then does a quick 10 seconds of: "It wasn't until I paid a business owner (solution) to teach me how to run a local business (promise) that I felt comfortable starting my own (plan) which I eventually sold for $46 QUAZILLION $$$$ BABY (proof). In just one sentence he was able to quickly go from RELATIVE PAIN OF PROSPECT to AUTHORITY. This is exactly where you show them how the SOLUTION you took to fix the problem THEY have is what got you YOUR MOST DESIRED OUTCOME AND CRAZY FUCKING WIN.... This is an outcome that far and few between ever achieve, so Hormozi go straight back to keeping it relvative after this point.

SERIOUSLY ... This breakdown makes it seem effortless. Appreciate the clarity... I am going to give it a shot and put it together this weekend 💫🤯 But firstly I have to get over myself and ENJOY this process more importantly. I have been a bit uptight... But I guess that's what happens when you have no idea. But what you have shared now breaks it down easily... Have a fab weekend 💫 and thank you
The 7 C's
After seeing 100+ beginners make $10,000 per month, I noticed they often follow the 7 Cs: A memoir by @Andrew Kirby the great 1. Consume What: Learn by consuming the content of experts. Why: Most great creators start as obsessive consumers. The quality of what you consume dictates the quality of your life. How: Consume educational content from people who have achieved the results you want. Avoid too much entertainment. Action item: Attend the Hormozi Q&As or watch the replays. / 2. Comment What: Leave helpful or thoughtful comments on what you consume. Why: “When starting out, you need to make people aware you exist” - Hormozi. Commenting is the easiest way to do this. When you create content, you compete with everyone on the platform. This is hard. When you comment, you only compete with the other comments of that post. This is easier. How: Add to the discussion with insights, compliments, connections, or help. Focus on quality over quantity. Action item: Leave comments when you have something to say. / 3. Chat What: Start conversations with people you're engaging with. Why: Relationships scale faster than content. It's easier to get people you know to listen to you then strangers. Chatting builds your network and creates future opportunities. How: DM people who you’re excited to chat with and start genuine conversations. Action item: Start building relationships and help where you can / 4. Call What: Talk to people on calls to find problems and deepen relationships. Why: The best way to find out how to help is to ask. Calls build trust, reveal problems and desires, and help you figure out where you can help. How: Ask the people you chatted with to hop on a call. Focus on connecting and helping, not selling. Action item: Get on 10 calls / 5. Case study What: Get proof and referrals by working for free. Why: Proof > Promise. Helping for free lets you build skills, get testimonials, and gain referrals. It’s the bridge to paid work.

As a newbie this is gold. Building off the shoulders of others is what makes an authentic community.... I am really enjoying the inspiration knowledge and experiences you all bring. To be honest I have only always supported myself and always achieved solo. But now being 3 weeks in to SKOOL I feel super supported and uplifted through others achievements.... #ilookforward 💫✨

I think Skool needs to hire a full time meme expert. @Sam Ovens has been having way too much fun reviewing all your memes. If you want to be a full time meme reviewer, post a funny meme below to show your skills 👇🏻 gifs will be disqualified.

@Yahya Kazi I love him 🥳
I’ve answered 13k Skool support emails. Here are 5 lessons that I’ve learned.
Hey everyone!!! I don’t normally post, but after speaking to some of you in the Skool HQ I thought I’d share a couple of the things I’ve learned working on the support team for the past 1 year 😄 Here we go: 1. When members can’t reach you for help, their experience suffers—and they’re more likely to leave. Solution: Make your support email easy to find. Add it to key places like your community’s About page, the welcome post, or the first page of any course. The easier it is for members to get help, the better their experience will be. When members know where to ask for help, they’ll feel supported. They know you have their back even if they don’t contact you. 2. People get confused about what to do in your community without a clear community roadmap. Solution: Engaged communities provide a clear roadmap. The purpose of the roadmap is to guide members from point A to point B with simple, actionable steps. Outline precisely what members need to do to achieve their goal. This shows you have a proven plan and can help them succeed. People will join your community to achieve their goals. But they stay because of the valuable connections they make along the way. Speaking of connections… 3. Members are less likely to churn when they feel a personal connection with you. Community is like a party: If you don’t know anyone there, you will feel left out. And no one likes that feeling. By taking the time to connect with members, you make them feel included. Members who know you personally become invested in your community and are much less likely to leave. Solution: Start by building relationships through AutoDMs. Ask open-ended questions like, “Have you been doing this for a while, or are you just getting started?” From there, tag them in relevant posts based on where they are in their journey. Move from DMs to a one-on-one call. For smaller communities, consider short 1-1 calls. For larger communities, an onboarding call is a great time investment. You can even direct members to the onboarding call directly from your AutoDM.

How to Build a Skool Community That Lasts Without Shortcuts
If you think ads are the secret to building a thriving Skool community, you’re missing the point. Shortcuts don’t build empires. Mastering the fundamentals does. Remember Pinocchio? He thought taking the easy route would turn him into something real. It didn’t. It was integrity, effort, and doing the right thing that made him a “real boy.” The same goes for your Skool community. Your Skool needs to be built on authenticity and real value if you want it to last. After working with countless communities, I’ve found that real success comes down to five things: Offer. About page. Ads. Fulfillment. Retention. That’s it. Nail these, and you’ll build something that lasts. Let’s break it down. OFFER Get obsessed with your offer. You don’t need perfection to run ads, but you do need something that hooks people. Launch ads early, even with a rough draft of your offer. Spend a few hundred bucks, get real customers, and refine based on their feedback. Quick iterations win. Have real conversations. Let your offer evolve. FULFILLMENT What do people actually get when they join? Maybe it’s a course, or a monthly call. You have to think about scale. If you promise one-on-one calls to every member, how long until that breaks? Can you handle 30 calls? What about 100 members? You need to think ahead, or you’ll hit a wall. ABOUT PAGE Your about page is your storefront. If you’re driving traffic but not converting, it’s one of two things The ads or the about page. Dial in your about page. Spend days refining it. VSL, images, copy. It all needs to hit hard. It’s not just about getting eyeballs. You need something substantial behind the door, or you’ll burn through ad dollars for nothing. (It's ok to run some traffic to an unoptimized about page to get early customer feedback to build your offer.) RETENTION Retention makes or breaks you. You can have the best offer, the slickest ads, but if people bail after one month, you’ve got a major issue. You're just a hustle.
