3 steps that increased engagement of new members
Before, people would join, and I'd never hear from them a single word no matter how hard I tried to engage with them. Implemented those and engagement went up! 1. Added one extra step to my nurture flow: Before: Flow starts 15 min after someone joins, I'm shooting an email with all perks and stuff inside the community (they probably aren't accepted so the links don't work leading them to nothing. After: Flow starts immediately, I've recorded a short video outlining what they should expect and which steps they must take when Ill accept them (pumping them up). The next email after 10 hours is the "before" email with now working links. 2. Qualification questions: Before: asked only for email, accepted everyone After: added more questions, asking about the reason for joining (so I'll have a reason to reach out, thanks to. 3. Welcome post: I've created valuable and fun welcome post, value is for them to consume and fun to engage, (e.g. - comment on your favorite pizza topping, members replying to others with their favorites, or how "friendly discussed" they are) I DMed every member no matter how long they've in the community to comment under the post. [also I am trying something new, I'm giving access to a course earlier for those who are replying to other members --> "look for a comment with a pizza topping you'll love to share and let the other member know it, pizza partyyy!"] What have you done to boost the engagement of new members inside your community?

@Yaser Anderson that’s a great idea!!! Sounds so powerful! You are doing it manually or automated it?

@Rebecca Claxton yeah it changed so many interactions for me! Very powerful
Changing URL for the second time
When you are starting your own community for some reason random (or not) digits are attached to your URL, right at the start I removed those and used my "Change URL only once" After a few months, I feel like I want to change the name, I feel like my current name drives the right people away and brings the wrong people in because the content inside is different now. Has someone else experienced the same issue? What have you done to overcome it?

It's definitely spam.... right?
Hi all, I seem to get a lot of messages from strangers that just say things like "Hi Karen", "Hi", or "How are you doing?". Is it me or is this just weird ie spam. When I check their profile they have minimal information and minimal or zero contributions to communities. I don't want to block people for innocently attempting to interact, but personally, if I send a message to a stranger I immediately introduce myself and say why I'm DM'ing them. What do you guys do in response to messages like this?

Ignore.. Sometimes when I have time I reply and joke around with them, like a few days ago some wunderkind reached me and promised to boost my channel by only uploading one video "Just pay me, and you'll grow" It was funny to dig in and see his plan is was just getting more subs🤷‍♀️ (oh and the best part he's pretending to be a woman, I found out it's a common trend)

Bro.. thats an insane conversion rate! my free community has less.. (for benchmark, 4% conversion in paid is average!) I bet you are underpriced by A LOT
What to build first??
Do you all recommend building your skool community first or one on other socials? Or at the same time?

Do it simultaneously, hype your upcoming community in SM, and when you are ready give them the link. That way people will be already interested and could help you before the launch
