Before I answer this, let me ask you one question. If, let's say, you do get leads, or you do invest in lead generation... Do you know what to do to guarantee that the leads you get, convert to actual paying clients? This is the mistake I see a lot of agents make. They go out, they get leads. But that's as far as the relationship goes. They just end up as leads, and never become actual clients. Imagine owning a pizza place in New York, and you invested in Marketing... AND IT WORKED. Customers enter your doors, but you don't have anything to sell them because your oven is broken. You have nothing to offer customers who saw interest in your marketing. So what happens? they just walk back out the door. The same goes for how you should be approaching leads in this industry. What's the point of even promoting yourself if you don't have the right skills to turn leads into paying clients? Not to mention if you do acquire the right skills, what is your area of focus? Because you need specific skills and knowledge for different aspects of this industry. For example.. If you're only prepared to talk to people about final expense insurance, you will be completely ill-prepared to talk to people about retirement and savings. If you do talk to people about retirement and Tax-Free options, do you even know how to specifically tackle that approach and extract pain points and problems? Or are you just simply trying to sell them insurance and asking them what THEY think they should be doing for their retirement? If that's the case, you will also massively crash and burn if you don't have the right skills to identify the problem and the CORRECT SOLUTION. So it doesn't even matter if you get leads if you don't know how to take them all the way to the FINISH LINE 💯

Just because everyone's going in one direction, Doesn't always mean it's right.
Just because everyone else is taught to do something one way, doesn't always mean this is the best way to do it. What we are doing at X1 may be unconventional compared to everything everyone else is doing in this industry, but we are using skills, techniques, and strategies that are getting us better results, faster 💯 The black sheep may be going against everything everyone is doing, but he is saving himself from falling off a cliff. You have to understand THIS, if you want to succeed in our industry ⬇️
No one cares about insurance. So whenever you start ANY conversation with "Do you have the new kind of life insurance?".. NO ONE GIVES A F*CK what you have to say. As a Life Agent, you MUST understand how important it is to talk to Potential Clients about WHAT THEY CARE ABOUT, instead of leading your conversations with discussions about insurance. Remember: 👉🏼People care about their family 👉🏼People worry about their future 👉🏼People want to have financial security when they retire So what can you do to HELP THEM with the things they care about? Try this when you next talk to a prospect: 👉🏼Talk About Their Goals Ask questions like: ➡️ "What does financial freedom mean to you?" ➡️ "How do you picture your family’s future in 10 years?" This helps them focus on emotional outcomes, not just the product. 👉🏼Position Yourself as an Expert, Not a Seller Say things like: ➡️ "I help families design a plan for financial independence." ➡️ "Let’s create a strategy to protect what you’ve built and grow your wealth." This reframes the conversation to solutions instead of sales. 👉🏼Explain the Bigger Picture Don't say: ❌ “This insurance policy covers XYZ.” Instead, say: ✅ “This plan ensures your family is taken care of while helping you grow your savings tax-free.” Focus on their future, not just the product. The second your conversations start to shift to how you, as an expert, can help relieve people's worries, and make their future more secure, you'll find that people will start gravitating towards your advice. They will begin to ask for your help, rather than you asking for them to listen. What are other factors that you believe most prospects care the most about? Any suggestions?

Do you notice this in our industry?
I was scrolling through reels the other day and I noticed something that, to this day, doesn't sit right with me ❌ And I wanted to share this with you because I want you to understand that it's not right. I'm all for MOTIVATION & INSPIRATON. But I draw the line at false promises. The problem I have with our industry is, TOO MANY AGENTS run around here, trying to recruit other people by making promises of 'having financial abundance'... and you're left with groups of agents who believe that joining an agency will fix all their financial problems... This is just not true. Don't get me wrong... It's totally ok to build a team But if you lack any real skills, you have to ask yourself the logic of doing it in the order you are told to (Become an agent, then recruit more people) You have to question... 👉🏼How does it make sense if you have little to no skills to begin with? 👉🏼What value can you actually transfer over to new agents? This is when we tarnish a lot of our credibility and reputation and moral authority in an industry that's rifled with MLM culture This is why the turnover rate is so damn high in the industry. Why? Because no one is teaching agents how to create a sustainable and successful business. No one's teaching agents the proper skill-sets and the hundred or more micro skill-sets that are required to be successful in business Yes, you CAN be very successful in the financial world. But simply becoming an agent isn't enough. There's A LOT MORE TO IT than just being an agent and being part of an agency. It's really simple. You can't expect a driver who just got his license a month ago, to be an F1 PRO DRIVER tomorrow. It takes comprehensive training to master the skill to be a PROFESSIONAL F1 DRIVER The same goes for our industry. You can't earn a 6-figure income with 5-figure skills. As the saying goes Nothing good in life comes easy. So I wish these so-called 'mentors' would stop promising the idea of "easy money" in this industry.
