Hallo!
Hi everyone! I'm Daniela. I'm a German language teacher and I live in Normandy, France. I've been teaching German on and off for the last 12 years and for the last 3 years I have worked for myself. My business is still very small. Due to having small children but also due to a huge lack of confidence and focus on developing the business. I've joined this community to get my business going more. To help me overcome my fears and excuses and to eventually earn a proper living. I focus on teaching conversational German. I want to help people overcome their fear of speaking in German to feel more at ease while talking. My idea is to help people through fun and interesting conversational classes and group meetings and to help them to improve their own language learning journey. So that they are equipped with tools to continue learning every day. As I have a strong background in the performing arts and music, my dream would be to enable artists communicate with new (german-speaking) audiences. I've recently started posting on LinkedIn and Instagram and my goal for the next 30 days is to continue to post more frequently and to engage more. I hope to find inspiration and especially motivation in this group to grow more confident in what I want to do. I can't wait to hear your stories.

@Andrew Woodbury It's an idea. My students at the moment are from different backgrounds. But all want to improve their spoken every day German.

@Andrew Woodbury mostly their native language (French or English) and their line of work. Many use German at work but can't make any meaningful casual conversations

I felt very seen by what you said in the video. But I am making efforts now to get out of the consumption wheel. What helped me was setting myself a deadline. I decided that by September I would start posting on social media and making more efforts towards selling my services. This deadline allowed me to soothe my need for preparation and to put in place some systems that work for me, but also put a clear stop to all this nonsense. I recently started being present on social media and I find that when it comes to actually writing a post, I never actually end up posting what I had planned. So it goes to show that I didn't need to spend so much time preparing for it.

@Michael Landry Hi! I have recently started to post on social media to make my business known. I hope to engage more and to grow my social media presence. I've been stuck in the "I'll do this when it's ready" phase for too long and finally I took the plunge. Joining this group was another thing I wanted to do.
