I Was Tricked into Speaking on Stage to 2,500 People
By Day 3 of my Thailand work trip, I thought the worst was over. Iโd just wrapped 5 sessions of product training for 150 people each a nerve-wracking experience, but I made it through. Then came the next surprise: โYouโre presenting to 2,500 people tomorrow. Just a quick screen share. No big deal.โ Sounded simple enough. No spotlight. No stage. Just my voice and some slides. But no one told the camera crew that ๐ญ So, as soon as I started speaking... BOOM! Fucking cameraman comes right into my face. ๐ฅ And I see... My face projected for 2,500 people to see LIVE. I had no prep. No polished look. My hair looked super messy too. For a good 15 seconds, I froze. But then, I remembered the day before: The shaky start. The awkward moments. And how, by the end, I figured it out. So I sat down, stared into the crowd, and spoke. It wasnโt perfect. But it was real. And that was enough. AND THE CRAZY THING? Just me going up there made the company $200,000. ๐ค ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And that's exactly how things happen for us YouTubers: Youโre waiting for the perfect gear, perfect script, perfect moment to focus on your YouTube brand. But perfection is a myth. And fear? It never goes away. The only way to beat it? Start messy. Show up scared. Because confidence isnโt something youโre born with. Itโs something you build. Post your next video. Let it be awkward. Let it be bad. Because with every upload, youโll get better. And one day, youโll look back and think: โIโm not afraid of this anymore.โ
