The Value of Personal Branding
**Posted this on Twitter, but some of you here might find value in this as well.** "What's the point of getting social media followers?" Growing my audience to ~10,000 followers has CHANGED MY LIFE. Here's are 10 ways I leverage Twitter: 1. First and foremost, I use Twitter to build relationships. Many are friends, and some will likely turn into business partners. 2. I've been able to drive leads to my paid offerings (most notably my Offshore Hiring Guide and my content agency). 3. I write a newsletter about entrepreneurship, and the vast majority of my ~1,900 subscribers come from Twitter. 4. I monetize my newsletter through paid sponsorships, and business owners from Twitter are lining up. 5. I've made $1,000+ directly from Twitter's ad sharing program. 6. I've driven tens of thousands of Twitter folks to my company websites. 7. I've posted jobs and hired people from Twitter. 8. I launched a content agency, helping other grow / monetize / drive leads from Twitter. 9. When I'm ready to sell my company, I bet I'll sell it to someone from Twitter. 10. If I ever need to raise money for a future company, I'm confident some investors will be right here on Twitter. --- When I started posting on here in June 2023, I had no idea where it would lead. I had a feeling it would be a game changer, but I didn't know exactly ~how~. Turns out, the possibilities are endless when you have a following. So if you've been contemplating building your personal brand on Twitter, I HIGHLY recommend it.

@Kris Curran Oh man I could go on and on but I'll keep it simple here. If you're just getting started on Twitter, it's HARD and discouraging. When I began posting, getting 3 followers in a day was a great day. Now, I'm regularly getting 30-50 followers in a day. So what's the key? 1. Stay consistent. Post 3x every single day. 2. Comment on high follower accounts 30x per day. 3. Provide value in every post. Don't post just to post. It took me 6 months to build any momentum. Stay the course! (Also, I think my free Twitter Growth Playbook will be posted in this Skool Community shortly, @Brad Smith please confirm. It's the strategy I used to hit my first 5,000 followers.)

Great stuff. Thanks Brad!
Psyched to be here!
My number one goal is to provide as much value as possible. I've been an entrepreneur since my junior year of college where I started Greenbox Storage. 5 years later, we provide summer storage solutions for college students at 23 universities across the United States. Since it's a seasonal business, I decided to build my personal brand on social media (Twitter most notably, ~10,000 followers). In my experience, there are two main benefits to growing on Twitter / social media: 1. Networking (I've met amazing people, like @Brad Smith online) 2. Distribution I also run a ghostwriting / content agency to help others experience the same success I've had driving leads from Twitter / social media. Super excited to be a part of this community and provide value to as many people as possible!
