I love training in the Gi personally; it has significantly improved my no-gi game! For lower belts, it's incredibly valuable because it slows down the pace and allows you to really learn positions. It requires you to think through escapes and work through each position to advance. The endless variations of submissions and their names can be overwhelming, though! But let’s be honest, 9 times out of 10, watching Gi matches isn’t the most entertaining! Lol.
