Good to have you here
Time for Gold
So my contrarian mind has a thought that I would like to pose to you all. The old adage of the shoe shine boy giving stock tips was the sign that the market is overbought and time to get out. It seems that is happening to gold, everyone and their uncle seems to be saying to buy gold and lots of it. Costco is selling gold to its members and they sell out with in a day. When the masses are coming together it seems like a top is near, at least in the short term. All the economic signs say a hedge is a prudent idea and to have/get gold but that shoe shine boy's voice seems to be getting hoarse. What do you all think?

Yeah I get that, but the premise is the same. commodities still follow the perception of investors thoughts and feelings. Amazingly in 2020 oil contracts actually sold for a negative price, so the potential is always there. I realize gold is different and has never been zero, however, it is still subject to perception. I have a customer that has no real assets but he is now buying gold when he can get money together, because he sees the potential. It feels like a setup/trap to flush all the small investors so that the real gains can be made later. All I am saying is eyes open and be aware of manipulations. To rising tides!

@Bill Bailey I totally agree with you. My comment was just an observation, not a prediction. I like your philosophy on investing, seems liberating.
KDP publishing experience
Hi all! The Playbook on Amazon KDP publishing is full of great resources, but from my experience there is one missing book recommendation for anyone wanting to publish a book. Published by Chandler Bolt is the best book on self publishing, and I’ve read a lot of them. It covers the whole process in great, right to the point, detail. - figuring out what to write about - rough draft to editing to finished book - Book title & Cover design - Launching - Marketing Psychology - Building buzz - Business growth Hands down the best book I read on the process. I recommend buying the physical copy and read with a highlighter in hand and a notebook to take notes in. I have published three print books on KDP and if you want to self publish this book is required reading in my book.

How to use AI for marketing copy
I watched a YT video of Mark being interviewed and there was a great segment on how to create good prompts to ask AI, like Chat GPT or Google Gemini, to get good marketing copy. I'd love a Playbook on this topic! https://youtu.be/WDYkNoMtx58?si=MfHQdaUPr2fpO079&t=3838

I would like that as well.
Question
For the serial entrepreneurs of the group, what have you found to be the easiest way to access capital to buy a business that is for sale by someone retiring? Do you try creative financing?

Just make sure that the clients/customers would stay with a new owner, sometimes the owner is the company.
