KDP publishing experience
Hi all! The Playbook on Amazon KDP publishing is full of great resources, but from my experience there is one missing book recommendation for anyone wanting to publish a book. Published by Chandler Bolt is the best book on self publishing, and I’ve read a lot of them. It covers the whole process in great, right to the point, detail. - figuring out what to write about - rough draft to editing to finished book - Book title & Cover design - Launching - Marketing Psychology - Building buzz - Business growth Hands down the best book I read on the process. I recommend buying the physical copy and read with a highlighter in hand and a notebook to take notes in. I have published three print books on KDP and if you want to self publish this book is required reading in my book.

@Caroline Malcolm I have published two books of fun money goal trackers, like a coloring book for reaching financial goals. And also a Christmas Planner. I have a gratitude journal in the works, to be out soon. You can see them here for reference https://amzn.to/3U4d4q7

@Caroline Malcolm Thanks!
Need a nudge!
Hello Gang! My name is Drew. I’m a full time Fire Engineer Paramedic. Husband and father of twin toddlers with a 3rd kiddo on the way. Happy to be alive. We have a small homestead, chickens, pigs and about 30 fruit trees. All free range organic. My wife and I are interested in health, freedom, sovereignty, raising our family, and I have been learning more about investing over the last 4 years with a huge interest in Bitcoin. We are mainly focusing on tapping into my network at work, selling eggs, meat and fruit to guys at my fire house and eventually to more. I have been following and paying for educational content on macro economics and investing and feel that this knowledge is key to developing a life of freedom. How do I leverage this experience into a business venture? I really want to build up the 500 members of my fire department because we have so many new members that are young and could really benefit from some one sitting them down and talking to them before they get wrapped up in their lives and careers. Plus this is really the only edge I feel I have at the moment. I’ve earned a good reputation as a firefighter and want to extend to my learning in other aspects to my fire family. Any advice is appreciated!

I’m not sure I understand… Do you mean you want to start a business whose clients are your 500 fire department members?

@Drew Rozner I might suggest that they are not your client base, but are your test base. Help them without charge to hone your teaching skills. You will learn what they need and how you can best help them. As you do that, create a social account on the platform you like best and share about what you are doing. In time, you'll build an audience you can put our your offer to and teach to the way Mark does here.
Time for Gold
So my contrarian mind has a thought that I would like to pose to you all. The old adage of the shoe shine boy giving stock tips was the sign that the market is overbought and time to get out. It seems that is happening to gold, everyone and their uncle seems to be saying to buy gold and lots of it. Costco is selling gold to its members and they sell out with in a day. When the masses are coming together it seems like a top is near, at least in the short term. All the economic signs say a hedge is a prudent idea and to have/get gold but that shoe shine boy's voice seems to be getting hoarse. What do you all think?

I suppose if you bought gold as a trade you could be right. But I have gold as insurance, so I’m not looking to cash out when it trends higher like I would with a stock.
