It’s Okay Not to Be Happy All the Time
I think this is a message that hits home. There are times when I feel like the fact that I’m not happy or that my life isn’t working out exactly how I hoped or expected means there’s something wrong with me. But that’s not the case. We’re all where we are in life for a reason—it’s simply the season we’re in right now. It’s okay to not feel happy all the time, to stress about things, or to be anxious about the future. Whether you’re in a high or low point, sometimes it’s only in hindsight that we can see the purpose behind it all. Life isn’t meant to be easy, and happiness without hardship is empty. If we can find a way to appreciate the struggle as much as we cherish the good moments, we’ll see that every part of the journey has meaning. Embrace where you are, knowing that each season, good or bad, shapes who you’re becoming.

Decent and insightful idea and perspective.
How often do you do 2 things at once?
I’ve noticed that I rarely do just one thing at a time. When I’m driving, I’ll have music or a podcast on. When I’m working out, same thing—music or a podcast. Even when I’m working, I’ll have background music or maybe a TV show if it’s something that doesn’t need heavy concentration. And don’t even get me started on brushing my teeth or showering—I’m watching YouTube shorts or doing some Duolingo. I’m not sure if being so used to multitasking is good or bad, but here’s the thing: When I actually sit down to fully concentrate on something, I know it’s important. That deep focus feels different, like it’s reserved for tasks that really matter. Anyone else in the same boat? How do you balance multitasking and focusing on just one thing?

All the time.
Work Hard Without Seeing Immediate Results
One of the toughest things in business, or life, is working hard without seeing results right away. But here's the truth: Don’t let the results drive you. If you’re constantly relying on outcomes to fuel your decisions, you're letting the unknown control your effort. Instead, focus on what you know needs to be done. The daily grind, the small steps, the consistent effort—those are the things you can control. Show up and do the work, even when the results aren’t there yet. Success isn’t built on quick wins; it’s built on consistent effort over time. When you stop worrying about the outcome and focus on the process, you’ll notice something important: The results will come, but only when you put in the work first. Stay patient, stay focused, and trust the process. The results will take care of themselves.

Yes, in business, as with many things you need the end objective in mind because of the very reason you mentioned Manuel. There are short term turn arounds, yes, but the long game is how to maintain suitability.
Speeding Up Your Hiring Process
A common problem in recruiting is the lengthy hiring process. Long delays between interviews or making an offer can cause you to lose top talent to competitors. When reviewing the length of your hiring process, consider tracking the following metrics: 1. Time to Fill: The number of days from when the job is posted until the position is filled. This gives you a clear overview of the overall hiring timeline. 2. Time to Hire: The number of days from when a candidate applies to when they accept the offer. This focuses more on the candidate's journey through your process. 3. Time in Each Stage: Track how long candidates spend in each stage of the process (e.g., resume screening, interview rounds, background checks). Identifying bottlenecks can help you streamline these steps. 4. Offer Acceptance Rate: The percentage of candidates who accept the job offer. A lower rate may indicate delays or issues in the hiring process that are turning candidates away. 5. Interview-to-Offer Ratio: The number of interviews it takes to extend a job offer. Too many interviews might slow down the process unnecessarily. Reviewing these metrics will help you optimize your recruiting process, reduce delays, and increase candidate satisfaction.

Time to hire is crucial as well. I have seen many companies act as though time is on their side. The need is present, and the company is being impacted as well. No names being mentioned, but I have seen many times companies wait so long to eventually put the offer out to the candidates of interest that they have accepted another position. Then you either have to start over or accept the second or even third best choice. As you had said about, it is an aspect that needs taken into consideration.
Can Social Media be a Tool for Your Business?
I’ve been reaching out to the top 100 restaurants in the U.S., and one thing has really stood out to me: every single one of them has a business Instagram account. This observation doesn’t mean you are required to have one to be successful, but it’s hard to call it a coincidence when all the top players are using social media to grow their brand. Social media gives you direct access to your customers, builds awareness, and lets you showcase what makes your business unique. It’s not just about pretty pictures; it’s about connection. So, while you might be on the fence about using social media for your business, just know that the leaders in the industry are using it as a tool for success. If you're not already doing so, consider how social media can fit into your business strategy. You don’t need to post every day, but being present in the digital space can give you an edge!
