The past 29 days I’ve drafted my first nonfiction book, outlined a course, and possibly said goodbye to a relationship I thought would last forever. Whatever is going on in your life right now, I invite you to take a picture of your creative space and post it in the comments. Not for judgment — but to commemorate this moment in your journey. I’ve often destroyed photographs, drawings, writings, even films (!) I’ve created over the years as part of my grieving process. I’d like to change that by documenting, acknowledging the painful parts of my life now. Who knows how I’ll feel when I look at this picture six months from now. We’ll see.

I just read Mitchell Pluto's interview with Saturno Buttò. Congratulations on an excellent article, Mitchell. I appreciate that you asked the artist what time of day he creates art. I related to what Saturno Buttò said about transitioning from working later in the day to starting earlier morning as his career progressed. I imagine a lot of artists experience this as they focus more and more on the one thing (their art) and remove their focus from everything else. Lets remember to celebrate our wins!
