I was watching the downward channel this morning and waiting for a violation to the upside; I eventually got in and set my brackets, but price kept hitting the mean and I flattened it two candles later for a scratch as I thought it might be ready to break support and break down (the other move I was watching for). And then the market opened on the next candle, and it flew...🥴 Was it a 50/50 entry or reasonable? Was I overly cautious to exit early? How influential is the mean when we're trading off the 5-minute (that was my deciding factor to get out early)? I'm grateful for any and all feedback.

Calling it a day in the futures side. Caught the move up today and made $1,523 Something I learned that I need to step out when I'm already profitable for the day and not to chase the trade or keep looking for trade to take and end up losing what I've made. Lesson learned! Now let's see if we can get some time decay on the credit spread side. $10k to go!

On Monday, I tried to catch a downward move towards the end of the 1st hour. The first entry I tried was too aggressive and I got stopped out for a loss of $450. Less than 10 minutes later, I got in again on a better looking re-test, and I had a gain of $1275 in less than 20 minutes. (All $ are before fees) On Tuesday, I caught an upward move 15 minutes before the open for $1362.50 profit. Next step - Get an Apex account set up.
