Do exhale breath holds only for a week, or take it easy and do 1-2 breath holds a day without going for a max. Variety is the spice of life. Get to level 4 in the Leaderboards, and you unlock the Superhuman Lungs training protocol (who doesn't want to have lungs like the Human Dolphin?) @Daniel Gallaga It is better to do breath holding on an empty stomach and in the morning after waking up to get a good result. Digestion of food is a process that absorbs oxygen.

Today I tried square breathing (inhale 4 seconds - hold 4 seconds - exhale 4 seconds - hold 4 seconds) dynamically on a treadmill. I walked at a speed of 5.7 km/h. I did several cycles. At first it was difficult to maintain the rhythm, on the last hold after exhalation there was not enough air and it was difficult to inhale. Therefore, my breathing was out of order. I was able to do the first cycles for 1.5-2 minutes. Then it became easier and the last 2 cycles lasted 5 minutes. Between cycles I breathed like a warrior for 1-2 minutes. I walked 3 km. I also tried on an exercise bike, it was hard, I did several approaches for 2-3 minutes. These are necessary exercises, so I will continue training.

Week 2, Day 7. Today is the last day of the 7 day challenge. I recorded on my phone again for self analysis and watched my body move during the breath hold. It was interesting to watch myself from the outside. 1 hold breath until diaphragm opens 2:28:17 2 hold +15-30 seconds 3:03:48 3 holds below max 4:01:47 4 Max 4:35:17 % oxygen saturation 88 heart rate 72 The results are an improvement from last week. I am very happy.

@Denis Blanchard Cool. The Red Sea has a very beautiful underwater world. But you need to be careful, there are many dangerous and poisonous fish.
