@Mike Meeks I just started my Etsy not long ago it took a bit to get my first sale but 2.5 weeks after my first sale I had already made $130 and it just keeps going up from there. Once you start selling it starts showing your products more and the more sales you will get!!
Thoughts 🤔
Excuse the weird angle on the video, it won't rotate for some reason. Don't send hate to the creator btw :)

@Jonathan Rivera exactly you start out using someone else but in the end learn to create your own. That is exactly what I was saying. It’s absolutely fine to start out using other people’s stl to get started. How else are we going to get started and learn but at some point you should learn to make your own things. Yes there are some exceptions to that there are people who can’t design their own items for multiple reasons and have to use other people’s stl files which is fine, but if you are capable I believe at some point you should start making your own or else everyone will be selling the same exact things everywhere. I am not talking about everyone selling flexi and articulated dragons. I’m talking about everyone selling the same exact flexi and articulated dragons. Again it’s just my opinion not right nor wrong. I do not condemn anyone for what they do or where they sell just my opinion and why I believe she feels the way she does. I get it when you search 3d printed items on places like Etsy you get a lot of the same exact things not even variations like exactly the same items from all different people.

@Nick Defore this is exactly why I joined Brandon over others no one else had lessons on how to design. Everyone else just sells designs. I’ve only been 3d printing since like march I joined this group in August/September with no idea what CAD was. Just from Brandon’s video and the print to product program I am now designing on my own. I knew from the beginning I didn’t want to use other people’s designs I wanted to create my own. I will literally spend hours playing on fusion designing small things and working my way up to bigger and bigger designs. My most recent design was a portable on the go tic tac toe for my kids which I ended up also selling for stocking stuffers as well. Don’t start big it will overwhelm you start small and work up. I just designed a light box I am waiting for a part for my printer so I can print it. I will tell you though if you haven’t already take advantage of Brandon’s print to product program it’s on sale right now $100 for a whole year. We do meetings weekly and there are a ton of tutorials for fusion and a tutorial for blender now.

These two companies had partnered up to create a software that tracks what you print on your 3D printer. More specifically weapons (pew pews) If any of you have seen the Jackal (Its a TV show on Peacock) - then you may have noticed how this series uses 3D Printers to create weapons of their own in the show. Even simple printers such as an Ender 5 to create parts. But real life is nothing like the show, and there are people using 3D Printing to create "pew pews" which can be concerning especially if they aren't trained and/or parents with kids who have access to these machines. I'm sharing this to bring awareness and hopefully create meaningful discussions 🧐 Here is the TLDR of the article. Two initiatives are tackling the issue of illegal firearm production through 3D printing by creating software to detect and prevent the manufacture of untraceable gun parts. 1. 3DPrinterOS, in partnership with Montclair State University's MIX Lab, has developed an algorithm that identifies 3D-printed firearm components. 2. Print&Go introduced "3D GUN’T," a system designed to block the production of unregistered, untraceable firearms, commonly known as ghost guns. Here is the link to the article https://3dprint.com/314218/daring-am-software-advances-aim-to-curb-illegal-3d-printing-of-firearms/ But I'm curious to hear your thoughts? Would you install a software to monitor/limit what you print or do you think this is a thing we need? I've also provided an image of a raid on someone printing these things.

The people creating these items are not going to download this on their printer so it’s not going to stop the people doing this. Someone doing something wrong are not going to choose to download something that is meant to stop them from doing that wrong thing. The people who would download this would be more on the parent side who does not want their children printing these type of things. Most people are not printing illegal items and those who are don’t want to be stopped. The only way this would work is if it was pre installed and unable to be taken off, and I’m sorry but even though I’m not printing illegal items I don’t want that on my printer what else are they monitoring. I get the idea behind it but this won’t ever work like it is because those creating these items are not going to choose to put this on their printer.

@Mike Ward I have a kobra 2 and Kobra 3 I’m excited for that Kobra S1 I like that it’s enclosed and it’s core xy . I love my Kobra 3 and would love the bigger bed too but I think I may go for the S1 first then get the 3 max later.

I sell. Right now I’m selling ornaments and little travel kids games like tic-tac-toe for stocking stuffers and some Christmas coaster sets. I also do requests which recently have been ornaments.
