Curious what people are using for nice rich cinematic cymbal swells? I get okay sounds with what I have, but I know there has to be some better options out there. Most of what I have ends up too bright and I end up pasting in the same samples I've used for years. :-/ They do the job, but I'm looking for that rich velvety cymbal swells that works for epic tracks and sweeping landscape shots.

Hello fellows. The other day they rejected a track for these reasons: "Sorry this one won’t make it onto the album. It doesn’t sound like trailer music to me…needs way more cut, stop-downs etc." The brief was: "Brief: Dark moody hybrid orchestral Themes, think DC." With some examples. I somewhat agree with the rejection, but not with the reasons he gave me. What is your opinion?
