Track rejected. What's wrong about it?

Hello fellows.

The other day they rejected a track for these reasons:

"Sorry this one won’t make it onto the album. It doesn’t sound like trailer music to me…needs way more cut, stop-downs etc."

The brief was: "Brief: Dark moody hybrid orchestral Themes, think DC." With some examples.

I somewhat agree with the rejection, but not with the reasons he gave me. What is your opinion?
