How to Crush a SDR Job Interview
🔥 One of the BIGGEST challenges I faced while trying to break into an SDR role and eventually become an AE was my mindset around interviews and career growth. 💡 What completely changed my perspective was when a hiring manager told me this: "We want killers. Not someone who just shows up and does the job, but someone who goes ABOVE and BEYOND." 💥 That hit me hard. And now? That’s ME. And honestly, that’s probably ALL of you in this community. 🙌 You're hardworking, dedicated, and always ready to crush it to maximize that paycheck! 💰 But here’s the issue… you’re not selling yourself in interviews. 🎯 You know you're a quota crusher because you’re motivated to be the best. But guess what? Recruiters and hiring managers don’t know that yet. 🔥 That’s when I had a realization… I needed to do a humble brag. Yep, you heard me—brag about yourself! Why? Because they don’t know you’re a go-getter unless you prove it in the interview. So, next time you’re in an interview, make sure you drive home this point: YOU are someone who doesn’t just meet expectations—you EXCEED them. 🚀 💬 Tell them exactly who you are, because if you don't, someone else will. And trust me, they’ll proudly share their wins and successes, and that’s how you'll get passed over. Own it. 💪

This has always been one of my downfalls being too humble. So sometimes I ask Chat GPT to do it for me Prompt - Compose a response to why you should be hired for an SDR role for ___ company provide their pain points and industry - In a friendly yet professional tone then I tweak the response. Also interview prep really does wonders as you get your jitters out of the way in a safe environment
