Missing 600 calories per day, does this matter?
Hey everyone! Just joined the community, super excited to be here and be inspired! Really enjoyed the free course. Quick question on daily calories, would be great to get some feedback. After watching the vid on macros, I reset my numbers using the site calculator plus AI. In order to lose 1 pound per week, I need 2715 Cals per day, I’m averaging 2175 per day. Should I be worried about the 600 calorie difference? I’m 10 pounds down in the last 6 weeks, not hungry but struggling to hit the protein macro everyday. 😊

@Ken Smith Hey Ken, It's really great to meet you! Congratulations on setting an incredible target and it's great to hear that you are doing so well and also listening to your body.I was actually thinking of breaking the goal down further, so 2024 = 35 pounds this year and 35 in 2025.So I've been playing around with the numbers, I've had the odd day when I'm 900 calories down, 400 and some days I really push my food and add protein smoothie and literally have no gap. Plus it's nice to have the calories for a nice fruit cider or a sorbet from time to time.I walk 5k everyday and ride my bike twice a week. Slowly adding weights. Losing 1 pound a week, nice and slow. Well keep up the good work! Let's encourage each other!
Extreme Cut
Hello Dr Mike. I am on a cut but was wondering if it is healthy. I am currently 100kg and want to weigh 95kg and I am about 1.87m tall. I am on a 1500kcal a day and around 200g of protein. I workout intensely and constantly looking at numbers. Any advice? I also burn about 1500+ active kcal each day.

Hey Andell. If you are burning 1500kcal per day in workout, maybe you don't have anything left in the tank by the end of the week? I'm going to guess you would probably need to up your good calories a little to cut...?

@Mr Corona this person is 13 years old? If so, just be mindful of how we are speaking:)

@Mr Corona I hear you my friend. When a 13 year old boy is saying that he wants to be ripped. I think we should support him and advise that it is appropriate to be healthy first and maybe aim for ripped once he is fully developed at 18:)

Love sports! Keen to wake the body up and shift about 70 pounds over the next 18 months (slowly) and in a non-faddy way.
