Iโ€™ve launched my new app, ScubaPlan, on the App Store ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿคฟ
Hey devs! Two weeks ago, I launched my new app, ScubaPlan, on the App Store for iPhone and Apple Watch Ultra. Itโ€™s designed for recreational divers, with the goal of enabling dive planning and using that plan on the Apple Watch Ultra as a secondary dive computer. Although Iโ€™m still in the process of getting Appleโ€™s (absurd) permission to access the depth sensors on the Apple Watch Ultra up to 40 meters (currently, I can only retrieve data up to 6 metersโ€ฆ), the initial version is already available with several features, including dive computer mode. I really donโ€™t understand Appleโ€™s stance on thisโ€”it just doesnโ€™t make sense. Iโ€™m still optimizing the ASO and learning along the way, so any advice on that would be greatly appreciated. The design and development are 100% my own, and Iโ€™m currently in the process of replacing the appโ€™s icon with a professional one. I like the current one, but itโ€™s a bit too simple. On another note, I might soon be without client projects and am considering dedicating myself 100% to my own projects, starting with this one, and trying to generate income that way. Hi devs! Even though Apple won't respond to my request to use the depth sensors on the Apple Watch Ultra, I don't intend to let my project die. I started integrating the libdivecomputer library in C into the project and have just finished the part for scanning nearby Bluetooth devices and filtering, using the library, to display only the detected dive computers. It's been challenging, to be honest. It's been years since I worked with C and Objective-C, and adding Core Bluetooth to the mix makes it even tougherโ€”frustration every day. But Iโ€™m not going to give up. If thereโ€™s someone who knows C and can help me with any questions when I have them, Iโ€™d be very happy. The developer of the library is also replying to my emails, and Iโ€™m very grateful for that. Thanks!

@Ingo A Thank you very much. Yes, I've tried with all of them, and although I've made some progress, it's complicated. The developer of the library has also provided support, but it's not easy. There's another project where they integrated it, but they've told me they made a fork and changed many things... so it's not simple, too many changes. I think I'll abandon the battle.

"no builds available" message for test group in testflight
Hi, A build of my app is available in testflight. Two persons have been added to an external group and the group is assigned to test the build. However, the group details show the following text: "No Builds Available". I even created a new build and then assigned the external testgroup to the new build, but to no avail. Also, these people didn't receive an email after I created the second build and assigned the test group to the build. Is there anyone who can guide me into the right direction? ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

@Steven Machtelinckx Yes, the color will be green, and it will say something like "Ready for Submission" or "Ready to Test," I don't remember. At that point, you can assign the build to the external testers, and they will receive the invitation since it's the first build they can test.
100 days of content challenge
I'm starting 100 day challenge for content creation. Challenge is dumb simple, but hard. I already did it for a few weeks in October. Now I will push it to 100 days. So, here it is: Spend 100 minutes per day working on the content, do that for 100 days in a row. I wrote how to start in newsletter. In short, Start with comments, when you are ready spend 100 minutes per day creating content. 100 minutes per day should be enough to create One of those: - 1 Short form video - 1 Thread on X (Twitter) - Linkedin post - Redit Post Long form videos on YouTube are tricky. It's hardly posible to publish good daily YouTube video and still keep doing anything else. Do not become daily vloger, 1 video per week is enough. With 100 minutes per day it is possible to publish weekly video and still have spare time for posts on Twitter, Instagram or any other platform of the choice. This is what I will do for the next 100 days. Whish me a luck :) Are you in as well?

It's a good idea. I only have LinkedIn (honestly, I find it not very useful) and X. I try to be social and write, but it's hard for me. I have a YouTube channel with over 3,000 subscribers and monetized, but I don't use it much either. I published two courses on 2D game development with Swift and SpriteKit a few months ago... I think social media and I are not compatible... I'll follow your progress, Aivars. Good luck!
