"no builds available" message for test group in testflight
Hi, A build of my app is available in testflight. Two persons have been added to an external group and the group is assigned to test the build. However, the group details show the following text: "No Builds Available". I even created a new build and then assigned the external testgroup to the new build, but to no avail. Also, these people didn't receive an email after I created the second build and assigned the test group to the build. Is there anyone who can guide me into the right direction? πŸ™πŸΌ

I foresee multiple feedback rounds and thus multiple builds. Does every build need its own review by apple? If so, then I better mark my son and wife as internal testers so we never have to depend on apple while iterating quickly, no?

@Aivars Meijers ok, thank you!
Appstore connect upload fails: "You must provide a value for the attribute 'companyName' with this request"
Hi! I'm about to publish my very first app to appstore connect. The upload fails with this error: App Record Creation failed due to an invalid attribute. Request failed with error code "ENTITY_ERROR.ATTRIBUTE.REQUIRED", and reason "The provided entity is missing a required attribute You must provide a value for the attribute 'companyName' with this request" I checked https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/ and don't see anything unusual about my data. Only a 'tax form' and 'bank account' are missing as far as I can see, but these documents are only for paid apps which my app isn't. Any ideas about how to fix this? Thanks, Steven

@Ingo A Unfortunately the error remains after filling out all forms. All entries are now 'active' now

it's ok now. workaround was to create the app record directly in appstoreconnect
Hi from Belgium
Hi everyone, I'm joining the forum because I have a deep desire to make my very own app and share it with the world. During my whole life I've always been a consumer (magazines, memberships, licenses) and since two years I want to be a creator. It feels like I have some useful skills for app development which I built during my professional career as a QA Engineer, but I still find it hard sometimes to make decisions and actually deliver something instead of finding yet another thing to improve which slows me down and in the end prevents me from delivering. Yes I have a busy life with a wife, two kids (9 and 12) and a dog, but that shouldn't stop me from at least delivering an MVP (minimum viable product) and improve on it. This time I'm back for good Hope to learn a lot from everyone here. I included a screenshot of my desk, assuming this is the right time and place! Cheers, Steven

@Joschua Glau yeah, the keyboard is a ultra hacking keyboard (https://ultimatehackingkeyboard.com/). I love the fact that it's programmable and helps me a lot in switching easily between different apps (in combination with raycast) or moving around in tabs without moving my hands

hi @Zan Cerne, nice to meet you!
Work for yourself first
If you trying to succeed as an indie app developer, block two morning hours in a calendar to work on your Apps. - in a week nothing will happen - in a months you will start to see a progress - a year later you will be surprised with results For years I was working for others before invested time in myself. My side projects were left for evenings where I had low energy after day job and often was busy engaging with family (I'm married with two kids) Everything changed when I started to work for myself first and and only after that take care about day job and daily tasks.

sounds similar to the saying in stock trading: pay yourself first. In the case of app development you could say: invest (time) in yourself first
Hi everyone, I'm Franklin from Uganda.
Hi everyone! πŸ‘‹ I'm Franklin, a freelance Native Mobile App Developer who’s fluent in both Swift and Kotlin (though I have to admit, Swift has my heart!). I’ve had the pleasure of contributing to open-source projects like Mozilla Firefox and Kodeco Apps, and I truly enjoy the collaborative spirit and the chance to give back to the developer community. I also teach iOS and Android bootcamps for Kodeco (formerly RayWenderlich), where I've created video content like Introduction to SwiftUI, helping others kickstart their journey into app development. I'm currently diving into my first indie app projectβ€”a language learning app that emphasizes immersive learning through conversation. I’m excited to bring it to life and hope to launch it soon! My goal here is to connect with fellow indie developers, learn from your experiences, and hopefully share some of my own. I'm always open to collaborations, feedback, or just a chat about mobile development! Looking forward to being a part of this community and learning from all of you. πŸš€
