Skool is Cancelled
Isn't that what everyone wished for when they were little?! Kidding. Unfortunately, my dearest supporters, Skool did not pick up as a heavy-engagement platform, as I'd hoped it would. In effort to focus my energy on what will best continue growing Working Wines, I've thus decided to cancel Skool. Thanks to everyone who signed up and participated, and a special thanks to those who joined our virtual tasting, previously! I'm sure Working Wines will feature other events in the future, though not necessarily through this platform. Feel free to reach out to me directly at briana@workingwines.com or through social media if you have any questions!

Oh darn, This was such a great plan. I hope you can try it again in the future.
Thanks for joining the 8/31 tasting!
Thanks to everyone who joined our virtual tasting yesterday-- we had so much fun! I'm attaching the tech sheets for each of the wines we tried here, in case you want to review them further. For anyone who didn't attend: the Riesling was surprisingly the class favorite! What kind of wines are you all interested in trying next month? Any countries you're interested? Also, feel free to share what day/time would be best for you so we can get the event scheduled. Looking forward to it!

We enjoyed the group tasting and interaction. We want to learn more about the winery in Australia called McWilliams Winery. New Zealand wines are growing in popularity. What are the most favorite wines in this region? Thank you for making learning fun.

I'm looking forward to our next wine tasting. I'm going to start with the Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc. Thank you.
"Low Calorie" Wines...
I've been hearing a lot more about new "low-calorie" wines lately-- more of them coming to market, becoming trendy, promoting somewhat "healthier" drinking... I tried this one from Chile a few days ago and unfortunately, I wasn't too impressed. 😒 It was the Klean Pinot Grigio, and it was pretty well-reviewed at Total Wine. I was really surprised at how mouth-puckeringly tart it was-- not very balanced, in my opinion (which makes sense given it's only 8.5% alcohol...). It wasn't very complex, which is not unusual for a Pinot Grigio, but the finish tasted like straight-up apple juice, which I am personally not a fan of. I had to open a different bottle to try and drink for the night! Only drank one glass. Womp womp. I'll take the extra ~20 calories per glass and get a good white wine.

Smart decision. Thanks for the heads up!
Wine twist cap
We had a bottle of red wine with a twist cap with dinner when we noticed that there had been a wine leak in the cap and slightly down the bottle. What do you think causes this to happen? Would you pour the wine down the drain or give it a try?

I enjoy a wide variety of wines. I like German white wines when enjoying a glass of wine alone. I prefer hearty red wines with my meals to bring out the full flavor of both. Zinfandel is a favorite. I look forward to expanding my experiences with you.
