๐ŸŽ‰ Make Birthdays Extra Special on Skool! ๐ŸŽ‰
Imagine a feature in Skool where birthdays๐ŸŽ‰ become a shared celebration. Members could voluntarily add their birthdays to their profiles, allowing their contacts to know when itโ€™s time to send some love. On someoneโ€™s special day, friends and colleagues would be notified, making it easy to send warm wishes, emojis, or even digital cards. This simple feature could bring smiles and foster stronger connections. After all, celebrating together makes every birthday even more memorable! ๐ŸŽ‚

I came for community with solopreneurs working toward aligned business goals and -- unless they all leave or something -- am staying thanks to the vast number of authentic connections I've made in a very short time period. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿš€
*Skool Community Feedback*
I want to get thoughts on both side of the equation. Iโ€™m currently doing some research and testing to figure out some logistics on creating a value packed community. It would mean so much to me if people can comment down below on what works, what doesnโ€™t, and some pro-tips. I know itโ€™ll be beneficial to me and to other users. Again, as a Admin or User what are some things you love and what are some things you would change. Thanks!! (Or dm if you would like to)

@Sarah Hankins So you think onboarding should always start on the app? Do you find it easier to teach/learn or navigate or both vs browser?
Live Chat on Skool
Are there any plans for a live chat feature (like discord) alongside the forum style community? The current style of community on Skool is great for keeping conversation organized and on topic, but it makes it difficult to build real connections with other members, and a lot posts and comments are made just for the sake of funneling people to their own groups, making most communities (especially free) just seem so inauthentic and dead. As someone who has joined nearly 100 different Skool groups, both free and paid, iโ€™ve personally always found the community aspect to be the least exciting part of groups. If live chat was added to Skool, i believe the following things will happen: - Significant decrease in churn in communities. - People will choose Skool over other platforms, meaning Skool will grow. - Activity will increase in communities. - More people will build real connections on Skool. I think Skool is a wonderful platform, but with this change in the community aspect i think Skool could be much greater.

@Tucker Beatty Ah, got it...that would be a cool feature, agreed!
โค๏ธ Notifications for likes turned off by default
Why would anybody know that they got a like on a comment? I believe it's a very unnecessary spam. People join communities, make a few comments and then have +20 unnecessary notifications. When you get a comment, of course, you should get a notification because you can reply to this comment, but you can't do anything about the like you got so it's just a distraction and you might miss the real important notifications because of that. Yes, we can turn it off, but probably way too many people don't even know about it, or don't wanna play with the settings every time they join some community. For our community, I teach our members to turn it off in our onboarding flow but this option should be turned off by default, and if somebody wants to get notified that they got a like, it's okay, they can turn it on, but I'm pretty sure 95% of the people would rather have it off. Wouldn't it improve the experience of Skool a lot?

@Liam Armstrong Hope this helps? You start by clicking "Settings" in whatever community profile you're in (you have to customize per community)

I could be wrong, but I *think* you only get notifications like this if you're not online...which means as long as you're on Skool 24/7 it won't matter (I see you, Skool! ๐Ÿคฃ)
