I made this post as I'm quite perplexed about the future, I choose to get a 9-5 to make some money and invest in myself, but I don't know if IOS dev is worth it with the growth of AI and all of that... (I'm honestly thinking about IOS dev, copywriting, hypnotherapy, cybersecurity, etc... my mind is a mess haha...) I'm not against working as an IOS dev for a company or freelancing down the road while building my apps, but I don't know if that will even be possible. I was working as a UI/UX Designer, did a bit of web dev before, and now found a job to make some income monthly and on the side launch my own things (part of it would be ios apps) I'm only starting to learn now, so 100% new to that, can't wait to interact with you all! Hey devs! Two weeks ago, I launched my new app, ScubaPlan, on the App Store for iPhone and Apple Watch Ultra. It’s designed for recreational divers, with the goal of enabling dive planning and using that plan on the Apple Watch Ultra as a secondary dive computer. Although I’m still in the process of getting Apple’s (absurd) permission to access the depth sensors on the Apple Watch Ultra up to 40 meters (currently, I can only retrieve data up to 6 meters…), the initial version is already available with several features, including dive computer mode. I really don’t understand Apple’s stance on this—it just doesn’t make sense. I’m still optimizing the ASO and learning along the way, so any advice on that would be greatly appreciated. The design and development are 100% my own, and I’m currently in the process of replacing the app’s icon with a professional one. I like the current one, but it’s a bit too simple. On another note, I might soon be without client projects and am considering dedicating myself 100% to my own projects, starting with this one, and trying to generate income that way.
