Lack of Motivation / Determination
How can I effectively engage athletes who seem to lack intrinsic motivation and are only showing up because their parents told them to? As a coach, how can I help them connect with a deeper purpose and remind them why they’re here? I’ve tried using external motivators, like rewards, but I want to find more meaningful ways to inspire them.

I sometimes associate lack of motivation with lack of confidence/ skills on that specific sport. Identifying their strengths and put them in positions where they feel important and critical as well as creating activities of that balances their weakness and strength .
Running Form
@Tony Douglas can you give some insight how Plyoglity contribute towards training player proper running form or it will be a separate exercise ?

Plyogility for Basketball
Really looking forward to using the plyogility drills with my 7th grade basketball team. Does anyone here have any suggestions or experience creating dual-purpose practice plans with a mix of sport specific skill work and speed/plyometric work?

@Adam Landry Love the idea , I think every sport should incorporate Plyoglity . I am going to dedicate a sessions for plyoglity this winter working with Youth Futsal players .

The most important skill to understand. This simple skill makes or breaks athleticism. If the athlete has it (we educate and enhance). If the athletes doesn’t have it (we educate and improve). This should be the very first movement pattern diagnosed with any athlete through a variety of different skills. ✅ Let’s get it

@Tony Douglas This matches with a conversation I had with one of Youth Soccer coaches …to sharpen athletes strength and support their weakness. Most of the time we as coaches focus much on the weakness and the strength or dominant part remain not harvested 100%.l as a result we have 50% 50% athlete .
