Hi, I am originally from Newfoundland, living in Calgary currently work in law enforcement. Served over 12 years as a Combat Engineer and served in the AB Regt (Engineer Platoon), up until disbandment. I am recovering from shoulder surgery and returning back to work this Monday, October 7. Light duties for now, I am limited in my exercise BUT, good attitude. At the office we have an awesome weight room and I will do what I can and keep moving forward until my next surgery on my other shoulder....lol... I can delay it. Happy to be here with this group, I see a lot of motivation here and good positive people. Thanks for sharing. Glen

I am sometimes fearful taking that first big step in the right direction without any thought. I am a over thinker and try to look at the big picture. But, I think that is sometimes a bit negative that might hold me back. It has only lately that I have been thinking positive about my future, retiring in a few years, planning for a new business, and of course getting into shape. It's a process with necessary motivation after years of not being so active.
Does this resonate?
👉🏻 Does this quote resonate with you? I know it does for me. When I start drifting off the path I start doom scrolling and eating chips. It’s an early warning sign I’m not drifting from My purpose.

Why I Exercise
Hey Killers This is a pic of my son and I at the summit of Mont Tremblant. Every year we do a challenging hike. This year I wasn’t sure if my back would allow me to do it. But over the last month, I built up my walking volume, slowly built up my resistance training and was able to crush this hike in 3 hrs with my boy. I want to be able to do whatever, whenever and this is the focus of my longevity based training.
