I noticed something. It was something I used to struggle with and it can undermine the perception people have about our competence and confidence. For sure the first 2 of our sisters in call 6 were using "Uuums" in almost every sentence. Ben noticed the same for the next soulful sales sister. This is NORMAL. I used to do it all the time, 20-30 % of my words were "fillers", empty vessels used to fill the silent space. I have quite some expertise in psychology, martial arts, intimacy, but I was undermining the effect my words had on my coachees or speaking audience. The most commonly used FILLER WORDS in English are: 1. Um: A hesitation sound, often used when pausing or searching for words. 2. Like: A phrase used to soften or qualify a statement, often indicating a lack of confidence. 3. So: A transitional word used to connect ideas, but can also indicate a lack of clarity. 4. Er: A hesitation sound, similar to “um”, often used when searching for words. 5. You know: A phrase used to seek agreement or confirmation, but can also indicate a lack of conviction. 6. Right: A phrase used to seek agreement or confirmation, but can also indicate a lack of confidence. 7. Ah: A hesitation sound, often used when pausing or searching for words. 8. Well: A phrase used to soften or qualify a statement, often indicating a lack of confidence. In public speaking training, I was able to remove 90% of the filler words (in Toastmasters they count them), by replacing it with SILENCE ( a Pause) and eye-contact. Both on the stage or in a one-to-one conversation, this makes a HUGE difference. Using silence packs your words with so much more power. Let's do a session this weekend, where we each give a 5 minute speech or introduction about who we are and what we want to dedicate our lives to. We all count the amount of filler words the speaker uses. Then, at the end, we give the same 5-minute speech and deliberately use pauses, and calm body language (shoulders pulled back, unclenched jaw, soft eyes, perhaps a slight smile, and take a deep breath). Who is in?

📝 Session 2 - Feedback & Reflection: What Did You Learn?
We just wrapped up the second session of our Soulful Selling training, and I want to give a special shoutout to @Raffaele William Bruni and @Aitor Urbina for absolutely nailing their roleplays today. 🙌 Also, a big thank you to @Daniel Notarpietro for asking such insightful questions that got us all thinking deeper. 💡 Now, it's time to reflect and commit to what we've learned! I’d love to hear from each of you: 💥 What was your biggest takeaway from today's calls? 💡 What were your "aha!" moments? 🚀 What are the top 1, 2, or 3 things you learned, and how will you make sure to implement them in your practice? Type your thoughts below! 📝 Writing them down will not only help you commit them to memory but also ensure that you’re taking action and applying these lessons. And as always, if you have any questions or feedback, drop them in the comments. We’re here to help each other grow! Let’s keep the momentum going! 🌟

@Svetlana I. Mirroring can even be emotional. When someone is not really interested or low energy, you can follow them and match their energy a bit, so they feel you understand them. Then you can slowly introduce a bit more an open body posture, a bit more intonation in your voice. Chances are they will follow. That is option one. ( mirroring, matching and leading) Option 2 is called shaping (aka rewarding good behavior) . For example someone is not really present, you break mirroring intentionally until they give you a bit more energy, then you turn to them and smile. You keep your attention now and pay attention now to the appearance of emotional words or tones. If you find something , smile ( if fitting) up your emotionality of nonverbal communication. They will mirror you. Like this you can easily guide a prospect from uninvolved to completely immersed Be careful with these options, I would not try those until you understand Francis w system by having had at least 250-500 calls. The basic soulful selling system should become second nature before you get to the next levels

I loved being reminded of interrupting with emotional words and creating the painful silence that makes his own words (self-realization) reflected back to him impactful. I like the realization that this opens the prospects' eyes to that
🏀 Ubuntu and Doc Rivers
Ubuntu is a beautiful and powerful philosophy that originated from South Africa and is rooted in the idea of shared humanity. The term "Ubuntu" can be translated to "I am because we are," emphasizing that an individual's well-being is inextricably linked to the community and the collective well-being of others. It suggests that we find our true purpose, strength, and identity not in isolation, but through our relationships with others. It’s a call for empathy, compassion, and unity, and reflects the deep African values of interconnectedness. Doc Rivers, a legendary NBA coach, has embraced Ubuntu as a core philosophy, not only in his personal life but also as the backbone of his leadership approach. Rivers is known for leading the Boston Celtics to the 2008 NBA Championship, and much of that victory was attributed to the way he inspired his players to adopt the Ubuntu mindset. He made it clear that for them to succeed, they had to understand that the team’s success was greater than the sum of individual accomplishments. Each player needed to trust and rely on one another, realizing that their strength as a team was tied to how much they cared for and supported each other on and off the court. In "Playbook: Coach’s Rules for Life" on Netflix, Rivers shares his third rule, which centers on the concept of Ubuntu. He explains that Ubuntu means, “I can’t be all I can be unless you are all you can be." This philosophy transcends sport and touches on how individuals can achieve their best selves only by helping others achieve theirs. Rivers used Ubuntu to foster a culture of unity and selflessness, teaching his players that their personal success would come through making the people around them better. It’s about finding joy and fulfillment in uplifting others rather than competing against them. 🌍❤️ Ubuntu & Soulful Selling Now, how does this powerful concept tie into Soulful Selling? 🌱🛠️ At the heart of Soulful Selling is the idea that sales isn’t just about making a transaction—it’s about building relationships and helping others achieve their desires, goals, and dreams. Just as Ubuntu encourages community and shared success, Soulful Selling emphasizes that true sales success comes from serving, understanding, and genuinely caring for your clients.

I believe only by fully embracing our existential loneliness (the reality that we live "in a completely different world, where we don't know what the other experiences, but are just simulating it in the psychosocial and spriitual simulation within us). The realization of this gap between me and the others actually fostered an absolute deep sense of connection. I see Ubuntu's acknowledgement of each others' uniqueness as that acknowledgment, that we are connected in our seperateness. When we accept this, we can warmly choose to be separate together. Where connection is chosen, consiously given, a true gift. I believe that this realization of separateness is the root of the deepest form of connection, as it honors the fact that we can never truly know and feel what the other needs, feels or think, and only by well-meaning cooperation, we can get to know eacg other"s uniqueness.
