Importance of testing Thumbnails
I posted a video about a week ago with the first thumbnail below. It ended up not doing well at all, I was worried that the video I had worked hours and hours on wasn’t interesting enough for any given viewer to click on. However, usually before I post videos I create 2-3 thumbnails to have and this definitely saved my video. The second thumbnail, although it still can be improved, increased the CTR by almost 5% and the views went from around 200 to 2.7k. I decided to share this because I think a lot of people, me included, get so wrapped up in creating this “masterpiece” of content with long hours of work just to see it flop. If you believe in a piece of content you posted, like truly believe you gave it everything you had, don’t give up on it after it doesn’t do well right away. Change the title, change the thumbnail, post a short and link the video to it and most importantly prepare for one thumbnail to not be received well early on in the process and make multiple thumbnails!

Feedback - New Video "Freedom" - song and story
https://youtu.be/SWvMmKbLTOM ok from the feedback I got, I did a lot less editing and graphics and kept it simple. For the story part I added it into INSHOT for the AI editing to cut out too many spaces. I don't think it has an option in the capcut version I have. The original songs I am posting are left over from a few weeks ago when I recorded 9 of them so there are still things I need to remember for future videos. My areas that I think I can improve still. - Smile more - Audio - I know I can make this much better, I need a better set up currently its just my phone but when I add a little reverb it makes it a little lo fi or muffled I think. - I dont think Im not an ugly guy nor a model but I think the lighting and filters need some work. Im not sure where to go with this either. I would like to make it look natural and enough filter to not look like a scary guy in an alley lol Any thoughts are appreciated.

@Parker Wolf Thanks, it makes sense, like the cover of a book, or netflix series, maybe thats why I see multiple covers on the streaming sites for movies. Its a powerful introduction. I think creatively I should keep it simple. But appealing, like puppies, or hot girls on the cover, then they see me and Woah!!! not what I was thinking. Just kidding. I definitely want to keep it relevant. Has anyone run into posting a thumbnail of say another celebrity or artist, for example, when I do another cover, what If I put that artist picture on the front, I feel like that might be too much and may even get blocked or have the video pulled down for violation. Audio, yes, I gotta try the new mics and see if that helps.

Wow, my blood pressure went up just watching with all that young angsty over indulgent energy lol cool, thanks for the heads up. I see the use of B roll in there too which is cool to see, we have been discussing how to use that for me and it has been mentioned several times. Thanks again.
Video
I posted a new video today and I tried to incorporate a couple different things. 1. All of the feedback I received from the last video about adding more commentary throughout the video to explain/remind the viewer of the end goal for the video. 2. More explanation/detail in the intro to make it feel like part of the story and less "youtube fast paced." and 3. I wanted to try something a little new to my channel. I've been struggling a little getting content out because the recording process and editing takes so long with over 24 hours of footage to get through. So I split it up into two parts and built in a little teaser at the end of this one for next weeks post. Let me know any thoughts you have throughout the video or thumbnail. But also share any opinions you have on the 2 part video.

@Wyatt Watson Good catch, audio is so important, I am wondering what your set up is, I think I need to get a better audio set up as well.

Editor Recommendations?
Hello again skoolmates 🫡 I'm on the hunt for someone who can edit my streams into clips and youtube videos. Does anyone have anyone they'd like to recommend? Or sites they've used to hire editors in the past? I have a clear vision and reference for what I'm going for, so I'm hoping I can hand off my stream recordings and it to someone without stressing about it. I'm finding that editing these myself is zero fun and too time-consuming for me 😅

@Wyatt Watson Ill have to second this, I have a found a lot of decent people here, but definitely do your research. A referral is always best, I would definitely check out Dillan's person first.

@Parker Wolf Thats for sure, but I think places that have reviews may be your best chance to find someone who is reliable.
Video Feedback
I posted part 2 of the video I posted a week ago. I tried to incorporate a lot of the same stuff as the first one but after looking at some of the retention drop offs in this one I found a couple of things to adjust. If you guys have anything you see let me know and I'll make sure to make some changes for the next vid. Thank you for all the helpful video back from the last one!

wow, coming from no experience of this game except I know a couple people that play it. Without knowing the game that well, I imagine it is targeted toward people who do, but for me maybe a 10-20 second introduction explaining the games goals and background or what type of game, would get nubes like myself to watch a little longer. Last game I played and the only one I ever finished was GTA Vice City. Graphics looks decent and the audio is easy to follow along. Keep it up!
